Our 4th FP+ of the day...

?

Shaden, try to break this system when you are there this week. If anyone can, it will be you.;) I believe you have the closest touring strategy to us and am curious just how much you can stress this thing.popcorn::

:lmao: and :thumbsup2

Thanks Tiggies,

and yes ... FOUR DAYS !!!! holy crap, freaking out !!! In the best way possible of course :) :cool1:

I am not convinced yet that they are holding back and releasing THROUGH the day, but I will do my best to try and figure out if they are :)

And I will try to break it, and hopefully not break myself in the process :)

:cool1:

Either in spite of, or because......... of FP+...............

I hope you have an AWESOME trip! :wizard:

I hope it stays like this. I fear that a lot of people haven't realized you can do this yet so there is still availability now but a few months from now it will be totally different.

Congrats on the scores PAGAS! :thumbsup2

Since I let my lines app expire, what was the highest wait time for TSMM today? Anyone have that available?

Ok, so it's obvious they are probably holding back FP for day of based on this experience (at least during lower crowd levels). I'm curious how that will affect the people booking their FP in advance and none show up as available?

At 5:23 pm someone reported a posted wait time of 60 minutes.

I'm surprised that TSMM was available and I'll be interested to hear other reports.

As per my comment, this would have been possible under FP-.

I am just excited to see its now possible under FP+.

I know TSMM is in a category by itself...Since that's the one the op mentioned, what kind of crowd levels did there need to be for there to be TSMM FPs at 4pm?

We go to DL all the time, but I've only ever been to WDW once--hopefully November!! We went December 2012 (crowd levels 1-4) and TSMM ran out by 11:30 every day I checked, but we definitely pulled for all the other headliners at later times. I think we even got Soarin' late afternoon once.

I do hope you post your experience after your trip. I also hope you did not take my comment as directed toward anyone with concerns toward FP+, just toward unnecessarily negative and confrontational ones.

I travel during the lowest crowd seasons and have never seen FP- available after 1pm - not sure if I have seen them after noon.

I've seen similiar FP- activity on "low season" days...then I say TSMM FP- still available at 4pm on a Sunday in July

I'm thinking this too. I'm hoping that once Disney slows down on their advertising and education campaigns for FP+ (already no more cool jump drives with package bookings), the usage will drop a little too. Also, we force people to book 3 if they don't want that many? Seems odd to me. Hopefully they'll fix that too.

That has been a concern for a lot of people since this began. Especially now with this latest "test".

Also remember, if the system works as we believe any unused FP's will be put back into play. So that could possibly account for some TSMM being available later than under the old system.

At what point were you able book the 4th? Was it after you rode the third? Or during the time for the third?...

Ahhh, young padawan wants to know if the rules of engagement are the same as was for FP-.

Years after FP- was in place I still overheard conversations from families saying they had not and would not pay for that 'front of the line' service and still had people asking me about the 'ticket' I was getting out of the machine. So, I don't believe any amount of education could fully 'educate' the masses, it just seems like everyone is clamoring to be in the know when you visit places like disboards.

I would love to know if you can book FP for a different park. Example, you are in epcot and just finished soarin. Still have two valid FPs. Can you go to kiosk in epcot and book FP for ride in MK for later evening?

No, not yet.

I think I've asked this today already, but I can't remember where, maybe I posted it in this thread already . Anyways, OP did it seem like a fair number of people were aware of the 4th FP? Were CMs telling people, is it printed anywhere like guide maps or something of that nature?

I guess I'm just worried that the good results from today are partly due to the fact that it just started today and a lot of people may not be aware or may have had a schedule in place that made it difficult to take advantage of.

Interesting. Around 11 I tried to change the time of my TSM FP+ and it said there were none available.

They're hoping you'll understand that people wanting to ride for a second time needed those slots more than you.

I hope that becomes possible soon, that would work well for us.

Thanks OP for the report, I was wondering if this would actually work or if it would be a gong show! Just curious, what were the times for your initial 3 FP+?

10:20-11:20a Star Tours
1:50-2:50p Toy Story
3:35-4:35 Tower of Terror (we changed this one around 11 am when we realized how long the H&V lunch was going to take, originally was 12:45)
7:05-8:05 Toy Story
8:05-9:05 Tower of Terror

We were also at HS today and ended up getting 5 FP+ total. Only the ones for TSMM and ToT were actually needed though. At 5:30 pm I was able to book for ToT with several options but nothing else that would have been useful. Fantasmic was available. You can change them around on the app but you have to use the kiosk to add the FP initially. I didn't see any lines at the kiosks.

CMs were not telling anyone and we didn't see it printed anywhere. I mentioned it to a CM yesterday at a Kiosk and he had no clue it was really starting today. He thought we were going on a rumor, so I was worried things wouldn't work today.

Thanks, that's interesting.

I wonder if they're going to keep this part of FP+ a bit more quiet, leaving people to seek out the information themselves somewhere else or by directly asking a CM. Could also just be because it was the first day.

Either way, it will be interesting to watch the next while to see what happens to availability once it gets rolling.
