So, it appears some of you think I am chatty. Jordan referred to me as chatty in his PTR. Now Irene has jumped on the bandwagon. Am I chatty? Maybe I just feel obligated to share every last detail of my trip with you all. It's not MY fault.
Let's ask someone that knows me in real life. Liz (liznboys)? Where are ya hon? Am I chatty? Go ahead and tell the truth. I'll still love you![]()
I refuse to ask my husband this question though.![]()
I completely forgot to mention my newest dilemma. I was talking to my parents last night (who are excited about the trip and are putting everything into my "capable" planning hands - their word -). First, my stepgrandparents both fell the other night. My grandmother was feeling dizzy and my grandfather reached out to stop her and they both ended up fallingHow sweet is that though? He is totally in no condition to help her, but he tried. They both went by ambulance to the hospital, but he was sent home and she stayed a few nights. Both are fine. My stepmother asked my grandfather what he wanted her to bring back from Disney World and he said "Nothing. I already have everything."
ANYWAY (does a chatty person go off on tangents when trying to tell a story?), my stepmother mentioned that my dad was a bit unhappy because they'd be flying down to Orlando during the Patriots game. I had no idea what time they were playing next weekend and it turns out the game is at 4 p.m. on Sunday. My parents' flight? It arrives at 5!!!
So, you know we will be RUSHING back to the townhouse to watch the game. I will check and see if there is a DVR, although I highly doubt it. But, the plus side is that we'll be able to watch the game on a HD Plasma TV!
It's a good thing I didn't plan anything for that evening.
I need to ask something to see if I am truly an obsessive PTR geek. Tell me if I'm the only one that does this. When I'm reading through a long PTR (not naming names or anything *cough*jordan's*cough* - hey man, have I plugged your PTR enough yet?), I will open up a separate window. What is this window for you ask? Well, I guess if you have to ask then you don't do what I do. I open a 2nd window so that I can keep refreshing the PTR page and see if any new replies have been posted to either this thread or any of the others that I read. So, am I sick?
Certifiable?
What's the verdict? Sometimes I even use the other window to post another update in my OWN thread (like I'm doing right now).
Lastly, I'm going to leave you with a little funny. Owen is my easy child, my very loving child. He tells me numerous times a day that he loves me (he's just like his dad). His New Year's Resolution this year? To love his mom. I KID YOU NOT. He had to come up with 4 resolutions, each one pertaining to different people in his life, such as his friends, his teacher, his parents, etc.
Anyway, every once in a while, we catch a glimpse of Owen's mean side. In class lately, he's been learning to write friendly letters. He brought home a final draft of one the other day. This is what it said:
Dear Santa,
Hello. So, how are your reindeer? Well, I have three computers.
Sometimes my brother Sully is mean to my little brother and me so don't give him presents.
Your friend,
Owen

Lol - you just have more followers than I do! If I were Southern, I'd've had to say "All y'all have been chatty" so you would've known I didn't mean just you, Carissa! But, I do think you managed to add more pages to your PTR over the weekend than I have, total!
Oh, and I can't take credit for the post-it note idea - I read it somewhere else first. (I forget if it was here on the DIS or on one of my parenting boards). Dd's fear of automatic toilets was relatively manageable before, but after a traumatic flush while sitting on the potty, she was terrified of all of them! Believe me, the sticker thing was a complete brainstorm built on desperation! (I was actually on my way to the souvenir shop to look for post-its or stickers when I realized I had a form of stickers.)
Oh, and don't worry too much about not knowing the times for the playoff games ahead of time. I mean, no one even knew who would be playing in them back when you planned the trip! (But, maybe you can figure out the radio station that plays the games, so you can listen in the car back to the house?)
