Our 2nd Shot at the Dream Team -TONS OF PICS. 10/28 New PTR LINK

97 DAYS PEOPLE!:cool1:

I went to AAA today to book the trip and put the deposit down. I love my agent she is soooo knowledgable and knows all about the disboards. I was so excited to have her help me!:goodvibes

Anyway she was telling me a little bit about the Neverland Club where the boys will be when Bryan and I have dinner. She told me that they do not prorate the time when you pick up. So another words if we drop the boys off at 6:00pm and come back at 9:30 we are charged for a full hour instaed of just a half:confused3 I know it really shouldn't be a big deal BUT it is $22 an hour for 2 kids and you have to guarantee 2 hours so there's $44 right off the bat! I chose Neverland because of the good reviews I read but now I'm thinking about skipping it! We would spend a minimum of $88 probably more like $110 :scared1: See the main problem is this... they only serve dinner at 6 or 8pm for the boys and our ADR at Le Cellier is for 7:40pm. So the boys have to go at 6:00.Initially we were going to drop them off at 7pm, I guess I need to just get over the sticker shock!:headache: What do you guys think?:confused3 By the way I did call Disney to confirm this policy and I was told that I did in fact receive the correct information!

I'm confussed...I've never used Disney Babysitting. Do you have to drop them off right before one of the dinner times? :confused3 Would it work to drop then off at 7, rush to Le Cellier for 7:40pm dinner, they can eat at 8pm, you can watch the fire works and then pick them up befor going broke :thumbsup2

Is it really $22 an hour? Thats crazy! :scared1:

What about that in room babysitting service? That may be cheaper

Ok. NOW I've read your PTR ;)

Yeah, those prices for the clubs are crazy! I had considered it previously for about two seconds. Lucky for us, my parents are coming along so they'll be watching the boys for us. I was going to ask the same question as GoofyAboutMickey (about dropping them off at 7).

Can't wait to hear more of your plans! :)

:cheer2: I love pretrippies!!! I don't have any kids, unfortunately, but I agree....that's a whole lot of money!!! Then again...it is an anniversary dinner so it may be worth it!

:welcome: Thanks so much for joining us!:thumbsup2 I guess the 8:00 dinner just seems so late to me, but maybe if we gave them a late snack, then they would be OK! The in room babysitting is actual $14 per child per hour:scared1:

Thanks for reading Carissa!:cheer2: You know the more I think about it, I was just trying to get my moneys worth by having them eat at the Club because it's included:rotfl2: Maybe if we give them a late snack they'll be OK until 8:00:confused3 Thanks for posting:thumbsup2

Hi Rebecca!:wave2: Thanks for joining us! I guess your 10th Anniversary only comes around once right:thumbsup2 I think I will just suck it up and let them eat at 8:00 instead of six! Thanks again for the suggestion!

Well, rats, Diane. If we were going to be there at the same time, we'd babysit the boys for you for free! Besides me, I'd have two experienced teenage sitters with me to assist. ;) Cait is always lamenting the fact that she has no little kids to take with us on the rides for younger kids. While it doesn't bother me in the least, she feels like she needs the excuse of a little one to go on some things. (She's dying to see Playhouse Disney but won't without a small kid.) :rotfl2: You'd be doing us a favor!

I do think if it's at all possible, you should do the Neverland thing and have your Anniversary dinner. That 10th anniversary only comes around once and you should certainly celebrate!

I do have my ADR's set--we'll be doing our usuals: Le Cellier, Sci Fi, Prime Time, Rose & Crown and two new places--Rainforest Cafe and Ohana. Only 43 days!

Oh, btw, just a little exciting news--Cait tried out for a commercial and just found out that she got it! It's for Cellular One and will be a regional commercial, I think. She was totally shocked--she heard about the casting call on the radio and stopped by on a whim. We don't know all the details yet but she's really excited and nervous!

Hi....

None of our ADR's overlap but maybe we will see each other in the parks! Are your ordering a cake or anything for your anniversary I think I am going to order one but will have to see how things go. If my kids keep missing school I might have to cnacel I hope not though.

Hey I'm subscribing.

My DD6 is going to Neverland Club twice on our April Trip. I heard some really great things about it, plus with no siblings coming along (DS will be 1 and will be staying with Grandma) I think she needs to interact with other kids(and Mom and Dad need break) It is expensive but you deserve a night out. If you drop them off at 7 you can have until 11 and yes $88 is not a fun amount of money but I think the break will make the rest of the trip go smoother.

Also if you find yourself between times (IE you arrive at 10:20) just go down and enjoy the beach, just the two of you for a bit before going inside to pick them up.

Hi Becca!:cheer2: Thanks for subbing! I talked to Dh last night and we decided to keep our Neverland plans. I will post an update next! Thanks for the suggestions!:thumbsup2
Diane

OK, you all convinced me that DH and I need to keep our Adults Only plan:rotfl2: :goodvibes Thanks for all your responses!:thumbsup2 After talking with Bryan last night we decided that we are going to put the boys in the Neverland Club (thanks to all you DIS'ers for waying in!:thumbsup2 ) We will give them a late snack and drop them off at 7:00 and they can eat dinner at 8:00 and we can eat a nice dinner and celebrate and even watch Illuminations and take a cab back to the POLY and hopefully pick up the boys by 10:00 and it will cost around $66 :thumbsup2

RATS! I thought I replied to this the other day but I think I got interupted.

Caitlin and Eric would be a match made in heaven! :rotfl2: She definitely needs someone to protect her from the Stormtroopers because you KNOW I'm too busy laughing to do it.

I'm glad you made the decision to just go with the Neverland Club. :thumbsup2 Really, in a few years you won't remember how much it cost but you WILL remember the great 10th anniversary evening out.

OK still no great (or even good) deals on airfare yet!:headache: Pray for me people!;) The weather here in the Northeast is PITIFUL we have had no snow yet 0 inches!:confused3 My poor kids see the news and kids from every other part of the country are sledding, not here though:sad2: Just overcast/sometimes rainy dreary weather!:sad1: So what do you do when the weather stinks ..... GO SHOPPING!:woohoo: Took the kids out to lunch and went to the Disney store. They are having an awesome sale! We bought 2 big pictures to hang in the playroom, one of Mickey and one of Donald too cute and the best part is they were 5 bucks each:thumbsup2 My boys LOVE Ratatouille and we bought a package of I think 8 ornaments for $4 and 2 Ratatouille(this is a very long and difficult word to spell!):rotfl: t-shirts and they were $2.50 each!:cool1: Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Oh and by the way...........................

Go Giants!:cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

Just found you and wanted to say glad you decided to go for the Neverland Club. It will be money well spent, it is your 10th anniversary! Go for it, only happens once!

And the airfare thing, well that can be so tough. I think that is the week alot of schools around here at least (MA, not sure about all of New England) have off. I bought our tickets for March right right right when the window opened last April (for this March) and got $218 which I was happy with. I haven't seen my flights go anywhere near that since. They are in the $300s at the moment. I hope you get a ding or something soon!

I took ds out in to play after work and he had a blast....

Sorry, was not trying to rub it in, if that is what it sounded like:rotfl: :goodvibes

Yay for great sales at Disney Store!!!!

I love that place. I am loving all the new shirts they put out for the spring...:thumbsup2

Just thinking about dropping the boys off at the Poly at 7:00 and making a dinner ressie in Canada at 7:40...

how are you getting to Canada? I suggest this route: take a cab from Poly to Beach Club... enter EPCOT from International Gateway.

I would just hate the thought of the trek from the bus stop all the way through EPCOT to Canada in 40 minutes... (including waiting for the bus - or 2 monorails - from the Poly)...

:confused3

Hi there. I just found you. This will be our 10th anniversary as well. I want to go read your prior TR also - I'll get there soon. I'm subscribing and looking forward to hearing how the rest of the planning goes.
