Our 13 Mos. Old Twins, Easter Wk & A Night in the Castle Magical Trip LASTUPDATE 6/5

Still waiting......guess I will have to check after work. Your trip report really is great. Have a good day.:)

Great trippie so far! Your family is precious, and aside from the various stomach ailments & unscheduled diaper messes, things seem to be going smoothly!

All that pre-trip worrying for nothing!

Can't WAIT to see your castle pictures!!!!

Finally, a morning we can sleep in! Epcot opens at 9am today so we decide to go downstairs and have a leisurely breakfast.

Wake up brother...we get a REAL breakfast this morning:lmao:

This was a really good breakfast buffet which even had a waffle maker to make your owns waffles! It was only $7 for adults and $4 for kids. Maybe next trip we will take advantage of it more....MmmmMmmmDelicious!

The hat DS is wearing in the pic above he got the day before at AK. By the end of hte trip he converted into a crazed pin collector...that hat must weigh 5 lbs:laughing:

Since yesterday went so well driving, we did it again today. Made it to the park for 9am and then we split up. DS, twins and I head for Test Track while DH goes to get FP's for Soarin. TT stand-by line was 15 minutes. DH and DS go first while I head to the gift shop/car viewing area. Since it was bottle/nap time, I took care of that. The guys returned and DS was ready to go again with me...yahoo!:woohoo: TT was just as awesome as I remembered!! BTW, this was the first time we used a child swap ticket. It was pretty easy:thumbsup2
DS looking cool:cool2:

We then did Spaceship Earth. DD held on to me for life. I think the mixture of darkness and the loud recorded voice spooked her. Finally time for Saorin! DH and DS went first AGAIN!! This time they were gone for the longest time:rolleyes: I managed to find a parking spot for the stroller in the shade close up to the building. Well, you are never going to believe what happens next:scared: I'm sitting there thinking about how our week has gone from horrible to very well considering how we got lost in Orlando (of all places)...which I told my DH that I did not include that part in the trip report..oops:upsidedow, the sickness, messy diapers, etc. and now just smooth sailing, right? OK, I happened to notice something moving on top of one of the strollers about 15 strollers down. It was a squirrel and he was jumping from one stroller to the next IN MY DIRECTION! My kiddos are sleeping...Secondly, we had a huge sun shade attached to the top that would NOT hold a squirrel and this is where he would most likely jump! So, he is jumping, jumping, jumping and I hop up move the stroller out while hollering EXCUSE ME, EXCUSE ME to the 1,000 people walking up to the building! I still don't understand where all these people fit in this building:sad2: Alright, everything is alright! He passes us up. If I had been looking in the opposite direction things could have gotten very messy!:guilty: This dang squirrel actually finds some food in one of the strollers (you know I couldn't keep my eyes off of him NOW). Yes, down in one of the storage pockets where his whole body fit. Stealing from a poor baby!
The guys return and I fill DH in about being on squirrel watch and DS and I are off! DS LOVED Soarin' so I knew I could handle it. It was AWESOME!!!! Felt so REAL with the breeze in your face and the orange scent while flying over the orange trees!! My favorite part was when we flew over the ocean I actually picked up my feet because I thought they were going to hit the water. TIP: If you take off your shoes, you can just leave them on the floor because you land right where you took off.
Time for some sillyness:

Resort down time......let's think about what we are doing for supper tonight:

Me: Let's go to POR and eat at the food court..you know how much I love that resort?!:woohoo:
DH: No, I don't think so.
Me: :sad1:
Me: OK, lets go to Downtown Disney!
DH: No, let's go into Orlando.
ME:  Have you lost your mind? WE NEVER LEAVE WDW ONCE WE'RE HERE!! Plus, we don't have much luck driving in Orlando, REMEMBER??????
DH: Please, please??
ME: FINE:headache:

We get in the truck and drive. We are leaving WDW and DS is noticing this and freaks! I thought he heard our discussion in the room, but obviously not. So, we hear a million questions why we are leaving WDW. In the meantime, we drive for at least 35 minutes and have found nothing we want. All I could think is we could have BEEN eating at POR by now, but I keep my mouth closed. We finally find an Olive Garden. So at 6:30pm on Spring Break week in Orlando there is obviously a long wait for a table. Still, I keep my mouth closed and sealed. By the time we got back to the room I was exhausted, but at least DH got that out of his system.

Tomorrow is our last day!!!!!:sad1: Gosh, we haven't been approached by any CM's all week...no FP badges, no Mickey Ears, BUT I really didn't have my hopes up because WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF GETTING PICKED ON SUCH A CROWDED WEEK ANYWAY!!! Hmmmmmmm.........................................................................................................Maybe a touch of magic tomorrow? It's our last chance

oh am i first??? popcorn:: :yay: can not wait.......isnt there always a forever wait for an olive garden geesh!

$7 dollars for adults???? Make your OWN waffles? geez. Disney needs to get with the program!

I swear if you're gonna have to hide those babies from me if I ever see you at WDW! They are the cutest babies I've ever seen! ;)

Can't wait to hear about tomorrow!!!!

I've really enjoyed reading your trippie, your children are so cute :) and I can't wait to read your next installment. popcorn::

So exciting, it is almost castle time!! Your twins are so adorable. My mother is also a fan of leaving WDW to eat. She thinks that it will be cheaper and save time. I personally don't think that it is all that much cheaper to eat off property but I will let her keep her delusions. She lets me plan the whole thing so the least I can do is let her chose where to eat a few times.:)

Sounds like you all had a great day at Epcot.

That squirrel jumping from stroller to stroller:rotfl2: I saw the same thing when we were there. They love them some baby snacks.:rotfl:

I look forward to your next installment!

Great installment!

Oh, I would have been freaking out at the squirrel thing! Those birds by Casey's in MK are bad enough! But a RODENT nibbling on Baby's food? Eek!

Kathy

OOohhhhhh - you're FORESHADOWING! :) Can't wait to read all about it!

I didn't realize you won on your last day - guess you just extended your vacation?

So where are these castle pics then?:) You know we are all waiting!

The photos of your babies are so sweet.
I loved taking my kids to WDW when they were babies. As soon as they were over a year old we were straight there and we had a nine hour flight first too!
I really don't see why people think it is hard to take little ones to Disney. To me it's the easiest place to vacation and you get the most amazing photos too.

Now disney with a child in a wheelchair which we did last year, that was a bit harder. Then Disney with autistic teen, yup harder still. That GAC saved our sanity though!
Can't wait to see the rest of your report.

So can anyone eat that breakfast buffet at SOG? :confused3

No. I'm sorry. It takes a military ID to get on the property. But, hey, if we are there at the same time I'll be glad to take you as our guest:)

We were planning on leaving at sunrise the next morning....that didn't happen, but it was so worth it!!

Overall, it really went smooth. Now it was different since our park time was limited each day, but if we didn't do it that way we would have had miserable babies on our hands. I see what you are saying....friends and family thought we were crazy, but it was great:)

This has GOT to be the SWEETEST photo yet. :cloud9: LOVE her little hand on DS's neck. And the little guy sleeping in the background. Too sweet. ALMOST makes me wish my kids were little again!

Loved the squirrel story. Makes me think he's done that before, huh?

OK - we're ready for the castle. Don't leave out any details!
