Our 13 Mos. Old Twins, Easter Wk & A Night in the Castle Magical Trip LASTUPDATE 6/5

I'm in!! Can't wait to her about the castle!!

Alright! I found your TR! :cool1:
I saw your post on the Dream Winner Board and decided to take a look here. Great TR so far! Your kids are beautiful! I think every child looks like an angel  when they are sleeping!
So glad your "3am plan" worked. I can't wait to read all the details of your stay- especially at The Castle!
(I am still sooooo jealous, but I am enjoying the post.)

I can only say,"WOW". My twins are now 10 and I did not take them to WDW until they were 5. But I must admit I was not a Disney fanatic until after that trip! I found this and other websites which made the planning flawless and Daddy had a great dinner every night so he was happy! My goal was that we don't go until they can put on their own shoes. That worked out well and we had a great time- in bed by 9 PM every night ( we even missed the water parade at the Poly!) They now have 5 trips under their belts and are seasoned veterans.
But I can relate, in that we took them to Hawaii at 14 months (yes, you read correctly, HAWAII!!!) I can only hope that your future installments relay a much better trip than ours. Oh my, what a nightmare. We went on an incentive trip with my husband's job, so I hated to turn it down, and I had never been to Hawaii! Between the time change and double ear infections (1st, last, and only), I was ready to charter a flight home! We made it and have been back again when they were 6-great trip.
Can't wait to hear how the rest of your trip went!

All I could say was "Awwwwwwwww" when I saw the pics of the "sleep in
their eyes" twins and DS still sleeping.

I'm impressed that you were able to do this trip with twins that young!

Oh! I am so excited to read this trip report! We are taking our 25 month old twin DD's in 3 weeks for their 2nd trip. Their first trip was at 8 months. I can't wait to hear about your stay in the castle and how your family enjoys the entire trip. Traveling with twins is a lot of work, but the memories are "priceless"!

I'm IN! :thumbsup2 This sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun! Of course, I am beginning to think my addiction to trip reports might be getting out of hand...

Nah, couldn't be! I'm IN! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear your TR. I'm going this summer with ds who will be 14 months, so I'm looking forward to hear how the twins did. By the way, your kids are adorable!

OH, you'll have a blast!! I was like you...anytime I saw a trip report with a child under 2 I was hooked to find out tips, the bad days and the good!! So, trust me, I will cover it all!!

Hi, twin momma!!! We met a couple other parents with twins who did the their first trip at 13-15 months and all said how hard it was. This was all during the first 2 days so I wanted to say...."Please, tell me something positive!!!" :rotfl:

I love all these twin mommies jumping on board!!! You'll have to update on on how yours do at age 2!!! I'm very interested in that!!!

So, our drive went really well. I cannot complain. We made several stops so the kids could stretch their legs, but the trip still seemed to go by fast. Okay, parents of toddlers, does this sound familiar? "La, la,la,la......La, la, la, la...Elmo's World La, la, la, la......La, la,la,la...Elmo's World" Well, that song is still ringing in my ears. BUT, it's better than screaming children, right?! Yes, both Dh and I have at least 3 Elmo Dvds memorized. Ds7 had his own little Dvd player with head phones..lucky dog!!! So, 12 hours of no music for us. No Chris Daughtry, no Justin, not even a good ole country classic!
Again, not complaining.

We finally made it into Orlando!!! "Okay, kids just a few more minutes!" They are super excited now. Well, Josh is anyway!

"should be just a few more minutes, again, kiddos!" After one additional hour...yes, an HOUR we found our way to WDW! Somehow, we managed to make a wrong turn (Dh did, not me) and we kept hitting toll booths OVER AND OVER! Now I knew there were a couple at least and I was prepared with dollars in hand, but this got to be ridiculous! We ended up spending
$10.50! Not a good way to end a long drive! Thank goodness all three kids were almost silent throughout this stressful experience. TIP: Don't rely on yahoo or google type maps. Bring an atlas!! We bought one that very same evening:)

Proof we made it:

We find our way to the Shades of Green very easily at around 4pm. This is our first time staying here. Usually we stay at POR, but Dh wanted to try SOG since we can. We make it inside and are standing in line looking like a family that has been traveling since the weee hours of the morning. Messed up hair, no makeup ,etc. All of a sudden I smell a very dirty diaper. I mean enough that the whole lobby can smell it. Of course, it's one of my two.
How can this be? They have already taken care of this twice today. They never go 3 times in one day!! Sorry if this is gross. I just want to get our room key and go relax for one freaking minute PLEASE! I take care of the diaper situation while Dh takes care of the room situation and we are finally in!!!! Very nice room, quite large and here was our view from the fifth floor.

Are you guys military? Actually, you can just go to Disney with someone who is and they can book your room for you. I was a little nervous about how I would like it. Let me just say DELUXE, DELUXE, DELUXE and great gourmet coffee to start off your day!! Definitely going back next trip.
