Ouch...what is this pain? LOL

I got up this morning and I noticed a pain about 2 inches over to the right of my belly button. It really hurts if I press or put pressure on it. Now its starting to just hurt on its own. I don't have my appendix anymore so what do you figure it could be?
My Drs. office (if I call) won't be open for a little bit.

Any thoughts?

Thanksgiving day I thought i had appendicitis as I darn near matched the systems. Hubby went to bed that night with his clothes on just in case he needed to rush me to the hospital. It ended up being indigestion. But the pain was in the same area as the appendix and the symptoms were as you described.

Did you eat anything last night that could cause that?

I felt fine last night. It feels as if I got hit or have a bruise there or something, although it's inside.
It's just in this one spot. I first felt it when I leaned my stomach up against the kitchen counter. If I push on it it hurts and it still kinda aches. Moreso when standing though than sitting.

I've had a couple incidences where something like this has happened. The first time it last several weeks. It felt deep and it was tender when I pushed on it. It was on my left side though. I went to the doctor and he palpated everything, shrugged his shoulders and said "it's just one of them things!!"

Periodically, I've had some pain in the area that you describe and often worry about my appendix. I've had it last for 2-3 days and have either attributed it to trapped gas or ovarian tenderness.

It is 'unsettling' isn't it?

Well, its still there. It is 1 inch to the right of my belly button and then 2 inches down. I looked to see if it was red, like I hit it on something, but there's no mark.
Very odd.

Christine- I know what you mean. You and I are soo much alike it's scary! LOL
Hope your feeling better BTW. I'm the same way about meds!
