Ouch!! Take Water Shoes

Well, I PACKED my water shoes....then forgot to take them off the ship! And I definately regretted it.

This is me ------> trying to get to deep enough water where I didn't have to walk! On the hike back through all that shallow water I fell (in about 6 inched of water) and THANKFULLY landed on the float I was carrying, or I'd have been cut and bruised all over! Serenity Bay wasn't quite so serene that day!

went to the doctor today where they took out 11 of those prickly cactus things. definitly wear water shoes people!

Be sure to bring plenty of plastic bags to store them in. They never seem to dry out before you have to pack them up in your luggage.

I usually just toss them out and not even take them home with us. They get to wet and sandy to bother packing for the trip home.
I refuse to wear crocs, can't stand the look of them. Even my daughter calls them crazy clown shoes.

I reported years ago on the boards that because of Sea urchins (think underwater hedgehog), DW and I consider water shoes a MUST if you plan on wading out in the waters at Serinity Bay. DW stepped on one of these our first trip to CC where she wound up with one of those spines in her feet for weeks.
