Ouch, SW!

When I did it I called because I was having computer issues at the moment and I was worried if I didn't do immediately, the lower price would go away. They were very nice and changed things for me. I had used points to book and they were immediately available in my account afterwards. Using cash you would get a refund in the form of a credit to be used(trip taken) by one year from the date you first bought the first ticket. There is also a way to change online, using the change button. I'm hoping to use it during the anniversary sale, lol! I found this just tonight! Another disser answered a question for me, so I looked for this. I found it under the Travel Tools tab on the right, clicked and chose the last one in the list, View all Travel Tools, which brings up a page with various tools, and in the Manage Air section, there is a link that says Change Reservation. So choose that and following it thru, it should help you change to lower price. It will bring up only available flights and just choose the one you want, even if it's the one you already have but want the lower price. Hope that's helpful for you! :)

That is awesome thank u!!!!

Monday the flights came out for 11/1 and all from ATL to MCO were $111 one way. Now some of the "preferred times" are $197. Really? Like afternoon flights to MCO and then late morning flights coming back to ALT. And they are the non-stop ones using Air Tran. SW has really ran AirTran to the ground!

SWA flights out of BDL are really getting more expensive and less convenient. They are cutting back on their non-stops and prices are not great. I am still getting flights for right around $200 RT but just barely & I am terrified I will have to book with stops pretty soon:scared1:

What's the cause for higher prices? Just checked 11/15-11/22 out of Buffalo. The flight going was $173 pp (booked the return for $109 pp). I remember last year the prices were lowest on the day the booking window opened and only went up from there. Maybe the anniversary sale will bring some luck :confused3

as expected in our market, with AT out of the picture, SWA has increased their prices to many destinations I priced out.

Oh how I miss air tran. SW took over AT this past fall at the airport where I live. With AT there were probably between 7-10 flights a day, now with SW there is one. ONE! The prices one way are what I am used to paying round trip with AT. I guess we will be stuck driving. I have never driven 12 hours, and am dreading it. I refuse to pay SW prices, that don't even ensure I will be sitting by my children, one of which has am anxiety disorder.

Same here in ATL. used to be a flight to MCO and back every 2 hours now there is like 6 a day and more and more are with a stop in BWI. Now why would I want to fly up there and then come back down.

Another option is Bus, but it is more of hassle to get to the bus station than it is to get to the airport in ATL.
Train would also mean driving 3 hours to SC to pick a train to Orlando or Train to DC and then to Orlando.

Our options are limited and both SW and Delta now can raise their prices.

Hate to say it but many of us up north who make connections thru ATL & BWI would opt for the latter. BWI is smaller, easy to navigate and rarely crowded. Only negative is when we flew AT international into it, had a very long trek with all our luggage in hand to the SWA terminal with no porters in site :bitelip:

That said, when I was selecting a connecting flight to San Juan this week, there was a 45 minute connection available in both airports. I went with ATL. Figure even if we have to rush to another terminal (knock on wood), have never had an issue with missing a flight. I do always make sure there's another going out later that day jik, no such option was available @ BWI.

I agree! I'm having a terrible time finding flights out of BDL lately.

For our August trip, I bit the bullet and bought our ticket from PHL-MCO $288 per person on roundtrip with Southwest. For our late September trip, it's much shorter trip but it was well over $300 per person and I was hesitant and waiting game started. I also am picky and only want nonstop, direct flights to Orlando since it's only 2.5 hour flight. I finally caved in and bought our tickets with spirit since with luggage and everything, it's still $200 round trip per person and it's direct flight. It's flying out of ACY-MCO instead of Philly.

I booked my flights for our Halloween trip out of BDL today - the return was a fantastic $99 a person but the outgoing at the time I wanted was a painful $196 a person. I've got my fingers crossed it drops and I can get a credit.

This is the problem I have been having, one way is good, the other sucks!!!
