Ouch...port excursion prices have gone up too!

So I'm a big travel planner dork; I have an Excel spreadsheet where I budget expenses, etc. We booked an upcoming Med cruise last September. Based on the excursions we were planning on doing, they were $132/pp ($72 for the 8-yo) and $87/pp ($77 for the 8-yo).

Just looked at excursions today and now they are $149/pp ($82 for 8-yo) and $90/pp ($80 for 8-yo) for a net gain of $73 more for our family of 4 to do the same excursions. Just over a 9% increase in prices. Inflation!!

The Euro is also stronger than when you first booked which may have something to do with the increase.

I do the same thing...keep a spreadsheet, pick out excursions early and budget around it. I've found that the excursions went up in price right before my check-in & activities booking day for my last cruise and upcoming one.

Glad I’m not the only one! Love my spreadsheets!
Several things have crept up—price of Switzerland train pass, etc. If it weren’t for free flights on points and 3/4 free nights hotel rooms this trip would have priced us out!

Yes!! I haven't even booked the cruise yet and I've started my spreadsheets.
