Yes, I am a wimp!! I know there are a couple people following my saga, so here is an update for those interested.

Went in yesterday and had my laparoscopic surgery done. As expected, they removed two cysts from my right ovary. Unexpected, they also found two on my left that they removed. They found an area that doc said looked like endometriosis, which they biopsied.

Also, unexpected, they found uterine polyps, which were removed and biopsied. I won't know the results of the biopsies until I go back to doctor on Thursday.

I have three tiny incisions, but darnitall, they are sore!! (I know, feel free to call me a wuss!) And my throat is pretty sore. They said they had a hard time intubating me as my airway is narrow (comforting). I had quite a bout with nausea yesterday, but that seems pretty much better now.

So, anyway, that is where things are at the moment.

I wish you a quick recovery. I hope all goes well with your biopsy results. If you have 6 kids, you are not a wimp or a wuss. :worship: That makes you a very brave and strong woman!!! :teeth: :thumbsup2

You are very brave! Get well soon :)
Huggles!

Speedy recovery! That is not an easy surgery. I also have endometriosis.

Get well soon!

If you had CO2 pumped into your abdomen, you will feel that A LOT in the next few days. Sometimes they pump you with CO2 to inflate your abdomen during the surgery. (Now aren't you glad that you were asleep??) I actually had a "crackling" feeling for a while. Kinda strange. Try to take it easy...it was probably a week before I could really do a lot.

Hope you get to feeling better soon! I had laparoscopic surgery to remove my gall bladder and I was sore for several weeks. However, each day got a little better.

Hang in there! Sending you some :wizard: to help speed up the process. :teeth:

Oh, and yes - I hope your biopsy results are normal.

Been there -- had laproscopic surgery last December for gall bladder. Everyone I talked to said I'd be up and around in a "day or two". Took me five days plus a weekend to get back to work, and I don't consider myself a wimp -- it was a month before I felt myself again.

Take your time recovering, don't worry -- and get the prescription for meds filled ASAP.

Don't minimize your pain...when you do that you only end up hurting yourself in the end when you try to do too much! Feel better soon! :goodvibes

Wuss!! ;) This is the funniest medical report I've seen in a while. :) I hope you recover quickly from the surgery and that all these biopsies turn out to be nothing!

Will be watching for an update.

Ouch! Take it easy and heal quickly! But not too quickly. Make everyone wait on you for a while! ;)

Hope you're feeling better soon. I've had lap surgery for cysts and I was sore and bloated for a few days but after that I recovered pretty quickly. Hope everything turns out fine.

I had this done a year ago. It was the bloating that bothered me the most. A friend & I went to the beach the day after it was done. (Yes I brought a sportstype chair)

Thanks for the well wishes! Feeling a bit better. Only seems to hurt when I get up or down in a chair or in or out of bed. Good thing, too as I have to go interview with the newspaper tomorrow about the Buddy Walk.

My 11 y.o. daughter has taken on the "job" of helping change the band-aids. :)

I certainly don't think you're a wuss. That sounds as bad as major surgery to me. I hope your biopsies turn out ok and that you continue to recover.

:grouphug:

It's your turn to take it easy for a few days Kristy. You are always doing for everyone else, now you need to take care of yourself and rest sweetie. Sending hugs and prayers that recovery goes well and biopsies bring good news!! :goodvibes
