Mine still hurts, some days more than others. Within a few weeks it will get much, much better, and he'll probably be able to endure sitting a lot easier, but breaking your tailbone is very painful. I still occassionally get tears in my eyes when I go from sitting to standing. My doctor said I needed to get an injection of an anti-inflamatory directly in my tailbone, but I will say that I don't think it hurts badly enough to do that.
