Just wondering if there are any other Ottawans here who survived the "Snowpocalypse" we had yesterday? It took me 3 hours to get home from work! But I have to admit listening to the call-ins on the radio and then watching the late news did make laugh a little. :happytv: You'd think we'd be better prepared for days like this!

Here is the photo of the day now trending: Only in Ottawa! :thumbsup2

What, it snowed here yesterday? Didn't seem that different from any other day over the past couple of months...

Honestly, as long as it doesn't do this again next Friday when we're off to the world, I'll be a happy camper.

We are outside of Ottawa, I had friends posting that it took 2.5-3 hours to drive what normally takes 45 minutes. I was lucky, my office closed at 3pm but DH was in Toronto for business, took the train to Brockville last night and got home at 11:30pm. He was really happy when his car got stuck in the driveway this morning :)
Needless to say, we are looking forward to leaving a week today!

I worked from home in Ottawa yesterday! I'm glad. I certainly didn't want to push my bus!!

Kingston here and our day wasn't quite as bad but bad enough. I was glad I got to stay home.

I work on SUssex and have to drive past Kanata everyday. I looked out the window at 1:30 and figured I needed to get out so I left at around 1:45. Took me about 75 minutes so a normal commute but those who waited until 3pm got stuck in the 2.5-3 hour commute.

Im so done with the snow. Luckliy the forecast shows sunny and 4 degrees here the day we fly to Orlando! :thumbsup2
