What did you think was the very best tasting meal or food you've tasted at WDW -- NOT at a buffet?

I love to try new things - I love every kind of food.. and I love to get things others have recommended.

What was your favorite?

Only 8 days away for us!

Well, IMHO pretty much anything tastes better than most WDW buffet food...

At Jiko the filet is incredible, the monkfish gets high grades as well

At Narcooses the chicken with sweet pepper drizzle is fabulous.

At Citrico's the lamb is to die for.

Brown Derby-Cobb Salad

California Grill-everything

The counter service at Morrocco is very good.

We also love the Plaza at MK great shakes & Sandwiches.

The best steaks are at Shula's in the Dolphin.

I had very tasty blackened catfish at Coral Reef... and thought dh's mahimahi was even better. THat said, however, we still thought it was overpriced.

Had great steak at Teppanyaki.

Loved my ribs at WC and dh's pork chops (ordered off menu, not from "all you can eat" menu). They were AWESOME the next day, riding back through S.C.!! One thing they need to get rid of, though: that gnarly little ear of corn. Yuckee. :(

Had so many fine dinners at WDW, such that the meals all seem to be a "blend" these days!!
But I am looking forward to the Berbre Braised Lamb Shank at Jiko's--so I guess that's my current favorite.

We went to Jiko's early one evening and everything looked so good!!! We decided to get some appetizers to share. The thing that sticks out most in my mind is the the flat bread! Th wines were yummy, too!!! If you aren't staying t AKL, I highly suggest this meal. It will give you an accuse to experience AKL! We will definitely be going back!

I vote for Jiko too - if you like to try new foods Jiko is a must. I loved everything I ate there, the Monkfish was excellent!
I also enjoyed Spoodles on the Boardwalk.

I am another fan of Jiko's. Very interesting menu. Great food. It's also fun to see the AKL.

We also enjoy Artist Point at WL.

Have a great trip!

DH and I really enjoy the meals at Le Cellier and Rose N Crown. Le Cellier offers great steaks and Rose N Crown has Fish and Chips, which is DH's favorite.

I really enjoyed my filet mignon at Shula's....and the potato skins were to die for.

I have truly enjoyed the breakfast meals at the Yacht Club Galley!! :D I have ordered their breakfast buffet at times, but also ala carte, & their ala carte items are truly delicious! The CM waitress (I forgot her name!) helping us on my last trip truly made the magic happen! We usually fly the 1st plane out to Orlando, hopefully to arrive at the YC before 10AM. Alas, it was not to be...we arrived at 11:15, well into lunch time menu. She allowed us to order pancakes & bacon, with juice & coffee from the breakfast menu, and it was so delicious!! :p Just what we needed after being on a plane for almost 3 hours!!

It's custom for us to hit the YC Galley on our 1st day, & after my last trip, I have no plans to break it! :)

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YC RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The fillet at California Grill is awesome. I am also a hugh fan of Jiko. Been there several times and tried something new each time, never ever disappointed! Their wines are great and if you love coffee as I do, you will really enjoy the Kenya AA in the french press. Oh...I could go a cup right now! I drink my coffee black and even though it's strong, it's smooth and not bitter at all!

I would recommend 50's Prime Time Cafe, and the cheddar cheese soup at LeCellier, YUMMMMMM!!!

Jules

The food at Teppanyaki is really good. Between the four of us we had the chicken, steak, scallops, shrimp, and lobster and everyone was very happy with their meals. Le Cellier has good steak and the cheddar cheese soup is delicious.

The best food I have ever had in my entire life and my husband can say the same thing is at The Liberty Tree Tavern.

You made need to know that we are not well spent on all the restaurants in Disney, so I do not have much to compare it to...but LLTT is my choice for best, hands down!

I just had the Chermoula Roasted Chicken at Jiko (twice in the same week!) and it was absolutely to die for.

My son could live on the West Indies patties at Bahama Breeze (by Crossroads)

My favorite WDW meal is the Seared NY Strip Steak at Flying Fish. It is the best steak I have ever eaten and remains consistenly excellent with each visit. Give me the crab cake appetizer, the Seared NY Strip, a mixed field greens salad w/vinegerette dressing and a good wine and I am in heaven at this restaurant!
I have many other favorite restaurants at WDW like Jiko, AP, BD, CG, etc that I eat at very often and enjoy very much, but the FF is a must do for me during every trip.

Definitley Jiko!! The buttermilk curry shrimp and the duck firecracker springrolls are awesome!
