We've got current posts on maximizing credit card rewards, and grocery shopping savings -- any other tips out there?

I've been trying to be more aware of ways to earn rebates/extra money on purchases I was going to make anyway.

Ebates and Upromise are both on my radar -- anyone have any other/better options for online shopping bonuses?
I also like that Upromise lets me link a credit card for rewards on gas and dining -- anyone know of any other programs like that?

And I've been trying to maximize grocery/shopping rewards through Receipt Hog and iBotta, but I'm not sure how thrilled I am with either of those . . .

ETA -- Do not post referrals -- I don't want this thread to get anyone in trouble.

The biggest thing you can do is stop buying stuff. I am trying to buy only things I'll use up, but I'm already three things over that due to really good coupons--a total of $7.50 for two pairs of new pjs and a tiny stuffed animal from the Disney Store.

Last month, I posted our lowest spending in years due to trying this and lots of self control. Don't eat out, don't stop for coffee, do free stuff. It takes lots of dedication, but it makes a huge budget difference in the short term.

Also, the only things I do regularly that I think are worth it are: Giant of PA gas rewards. Last month I bought $203 in groceries and got $170 in free gas. Also, the free stuff at CVS and Walgreens. Basically, any program that lets me use my money twice.

And, My Coke Rewards, Pampers, and Kellogg's Rewards are all really good. And look out for rebates/free stuff when you buy certain things.

lol, I'll admit, I've gotten amazingly good at not buying stuff :) There are really very few *things* we want -- we are both more experience kind of people. But I've started finding so many ways to earn rewards or bonuses on things I have to buy anyway, I'm looking for others.

I always forget MyCoke Rewards, I need to start doing that more, since coke is one thing we refuse to live without!

my coke rewards is great - I save up points for movie tickets!

savingstar is a good program - they will give you cash back to your bank account when you cash out. You select the online coupons and link to your cards from the stores and when you make your purchases the money is credited to your savingstar online account. They also have some online shopping deals. It is cool because you can use a paper coupon, online coupon from your store, and savingstar all in the same transaction. Each week they have a produce item coupon, too, like 20% off bananas.

The best tip other than don't spend is to look for a coupon before buying. We buy auto parts from advance, and they ALWAYS have online coupons. So I use the coupon and order online and when I go to the store I pay less than the guy next to me who just walked in. You can go through Upromise or another portal and get cash back on the deal too. DD recently had to renew her lifeguard cert. Since she is so well trained and likes to keep HER money, she googled and found an online coupon for $20 off the materials! The online coupons remind me of fastpass - a big goodie for folks in the know.:rolleyes1

I've got referral cards for anyone who wants to sign up for the no-fee Disney Rewards Visa. Spend $500 in three months and get a $200 Disney gift card. Apply by 6/30/14. PM me if you want the referral info.

Also note that we do not want the boards to be used for solicitations or for requesting referrals. Requests for advertising can be directed to Corey@wdwinfo.com for consideration."

Please do not post any links where you (or someone else) may personally benefit. We have had to remove hundreds of such posts on the Budget Board (with only a warning), but will begin issuing infractions for any future referral violations. Post links at your own risk. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
