How often do you use your Wii.
Is it something you got a year or so ago and now it gets ignored?
Do you use it several times a week.
Why do you use it? Video games or fitness?

Comments, please.

I used it a lot at first, then got bored, then got busy. I think, though, that I'm starting to get back into it. I do like bowling!

While I still enjoy the Wii, lots of decent family multiplayer games, it gets far less use than it did two years ago. The PS3, due to far better graphics, and game selection, is the most heavily used system in the house now.

With that said, I'm getting Wii Fit, and Sports Resort for our daughter for Christmas. That will probably re-ignite the Wii for a while at least.

I would love to play it more, but my dad is addicted to a one player shooting game, so I don't play as much as i'd like!

I enjoy it when I do though! Its great for our family!

We actually just got ours about a month ago and we have not played it anywhere near as much as I thought we would. I don't even play it as much as I thought I would...I was the main one who wanted it!

I saved and saved and couldn't wait to get it, and now we use it maybe 2 times a week. Most nights we have other stuff to do and we just don't think to go and play it. We did play it last night (tennis and bowling) and I promised DS6 that he could play his racing game after school today. The first week we had it he asked to play every day, now he never really asks to play either.

Part of me does regret buying it, but I got 2 new games coming for Xmas so maybe those will spark our interest in playing it more.:confused3

My 14 year old brother has one he wont let any one touch it but i know he plays it alot on weekends

We got our Wii almost two years ago. At first, we were constantly arguing over who got to use it, but now it's just sitting in our rec room collecting dust. The novelty hasn't completely worn off, but none of us have enough time to play video games. We would definitely use it more if time was not an issue. :thumbsup2

Oh... as far as fitness goes. I've used Wii Fit a total of once since we got it 8 months ago. I work out 3-6 times per week, but would never replace my regular work out with Wii Fit. It's a great program, but just not something I like. Each to his own, I guess. :)

Very very very very little!
The ps3 is on daily for either gaming or watching films, the wii remains gathering dust

:goodvibes

I married a gamer, but I knew what I was getting into.

At this moment DH & DD are playing A boy & his blob.
They love the games where they work together to strategize. Their favorite is Zack & Wiki.

House rules: 2 hours max of TV & Computer games.
It's nice that some days she doesn't watch/play games at all. We play polly pockets or something else.
I am hopeless at video games :rotfl2:
but DH knew that when he married me.

I got my Wii and Wii Fit back in April. I mostly use it for fitness. Almost all of my games give me a good cardio workout. I use the Fit balance board for Yoga and strength training and play the other games. The Wii Fit Plus added a lot more games and I really enjoy some of them. I also love Dance Revolution. It is a lot of fun and is a great cardio workout.

The poll so far is not convincing me to get the Wii.
There is a special at Walmart - added bonus is a $50 Walmart gift card.

I am thinking if I buy it and don't use it much, I can re-sell it. Look at is as kind of like a rental.

Any further thoughts?

All I can say is we got our Wii 2 years ago and love it!
We play less in the summer with it than we do in the winter.
In the winter it gets played almost everyday, the summer 2-3 times per week.
We have the Wiifit, dance, dance revolution, I do find you can get a good cardio workout from it as well.
The boys love it as well!

We use ours everyday, usually DH playing Mario Kart but we've been playing Lego Rock Band together.
We're getting Wii fit for Christmas and I'm intending on using it as much as I can - I'm sure things will get in the way though! - I don't tend to exercise so hopefully this will help me get a routine.

I picked the first one :thumbsup2

Yeah agreed - ours is used pretty much every day but then we have a core set of games that we continue to enjoy playing.
I need my Mario Cart fix after a busy day at work!
In terms of game development for the future, I'd say you'll have a much bigger range available on the PS3.
I enjoy the unique interface that the wii offers. Am sure I will be giving Wii Fat a go too...
