LOL! Sure wish we could send you some. I am in South Dakota and we have plenty! Sorry, I don't have any photos. We're just so used to it that I don't tend to take pictures of it - unless it becomes an overly-extreme amount.
Kids were home from school the past 2 days and they have a late start today. Some area schools are closed though, so of course they don't think it's fair. Glad they are having the chance to get out. There is such a thing as cabin fever ... and I think I HAVE IT! Guess we shouldn't complain too much though as some parts of the country have/and are getting much more than we are. Our biggest challenge now is finding places to PUT it! We have snow piled 8 feet high on both sides of the driveway already!
I'm in Northwest Indiana. We got about 20 inches of snow, and it's still snowing! I can't open my front door--the drift is taller than my DS (he's 49" tall)!
Peoria, IL area here...17 inches of snow on the ground.
My daycare employer had to be closed today because the employees told them they weren't coming to work today-they weren't planning on being closed at all today.
I'm in MA, about 15 miles south of Boston. Took this picture this morning after shoveling for 2 hours yesterday and another 2 hours this morning.
This is an accumulation of several storms...I have no idea how much snow it is, but under the single window is a driveway that goes to a garage under the house. It is completely filled in with snow and only has a small pathway shoveled out to be able to put the garbage barrels out on trash day. We also have another 2 car wide driveway not pictured, to the right of the garage driveway where DH and I park our cars. I am so done with snow!
Same thing here-- Central MA, and no where to put it all. Got stuck this AM trying to drive home my daughter's friend before it got really icy--the plow guys had to help get me out.
We have 6 foot piles in front of the house from raking the roof--it is about 8 inches up the windows. A plus six foot pile on the deck, too.
im up near manitowoc wi and thanks to the lake we have gotten about 4 feet of snow sense monday and now its drifting good
that dang lake is baing a big pain to my snow blower
you know its bad when the schools are closing before the kids go to bed for the night
We were supposed to have a blizzard here from 7pm yesterday through 7pm tonight. Instead we had a piddly storm with about 6 inches of snow. Very disappointing for us Michiganders who wanted a lot of snow!
Not far from DFW... no snow, just ice-ice baby. 2nd day of closed schools. Looking at single digit temps later. Our windchill was actually colder than Green Bay, Wisconsin this morning. Already started rolling blackouts.

I'm about 20 miles south of Boston on the coast. Here's a pic of the chair I usually sit on when it's nice out and enjoy a cup of coffee, won't be doing that any time soon.
No new snow *lots of browninsh green grass is visible* but dang it's cold - when I got the kids to school this morning it was 9 degrees, our high today will be 20 But the sky is blue and it's much better out there than yesterday, we dealt with wind yesterday and it was freezing! DS is cross country skiing today up in the mountains - he has many layers on.
Wow, JMKR72 that is a lot of snow. I would love to see that in person. ( but just for a visit, not as a stay. )
I am in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Unfortunately no snow, just ugly ice.
Last Friday I was wearing a short sleeved shirt, today the current temperature is 11 degrees. Low tonight is to be 8 degrees. No, that is not wind chill, windchill prediction is 8 below. Not something we expect in Texas. We are having power shortages & some people have been without electricity for 2 hrs. They are now saying we may have a gas shortage too. Driving is horrid.
It is not unusual for us to wake up to 12-18 inches of snow and go on as normal. No school delays or closings for us as long as the snow stops by 7:00 AM. We plow with a backhoe because the pick-up trucks can only pile it up so high. Last week I left home for school with 12 inches in the driveway and came home to another 18. We are so used to it, we laugh when we see places close down with 3 inches!
