OT- Where's best deal on Furbys?

Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thanks to LJSquishy too! I just heard about these 2 days ago. I knew DD would want one the minute she saw them because she has my old Furby and plays with him quite a bit. He is brown, and I knew when she saw the blue one with the updated stuff he does it was going straight to her Christmas list. They are already out of stock for pre-order everywhere on the internet. People are already trying to sell them on Amazon and Ebay for way above the list price. Supposedly they are going to be the hot Christmas toy that everybody is trying to get just like the first time they came out. I had visions of being caught up in the desparate parents Christmas search. I was going to try to hit the stores when they opened first thing Sunday morning and hope I might find one. Thanks to your posts, I went by Target tonight. There was 1 little blue Furby sitting on the shelf! :yay: They also had I think 2 white ones, 1yellow one, 1 orange one and 1 black one also. I let DD see the new Furby on the internet tonight and of course the minute she saw it she went absolutely nuts over the little guy and started begging for one for Christmas. You guys saved me a whole bunch of trouble!!!! :yay::yay::yay:

By the way- according to the internet- they still don't have an on and off switch. UGH. We are pros at putting "old" Furby to sleep though. I'm really hoping that new Furby goes into sleep mode as easy as the "old" guy, or I may be really sorry!

Yay! Glad you found them. :)

I'm a senior in college and I'm ashamed to say I own both of my original furbys still...and they still work. I'll randomly wake them up to mess with my cat. We had an entire furby family! My sister had two, grandma had one...my class had one.

Wonder how much these are worth? My mom bought my Furby's special things to make them go to sleep...and special cases to carry them with you!

I can't believe they're making those again! I think our old one is probably shoved in the back of the closet from when it wouldn't be quiet!

As long as Teddy Ruxpin stays away, I'm good.

My DD2's first Furby---bought on DH's and my honeymoon. We brought it home, she got it dirty and promptly gave it a bath. :rotfl2: It still talked but more like "brrrrrrrr" from then on.

Our local Wal Mart had five left in their display last night. They were $54 each. A little pricey!:scared1:

I remember Furby's never shutting up, we would wrap it in a blanket and put it in DD's closet at night so it wouldn't wake her up. I hope the new ones have an on/off switch.

I put my daughter's in the freezer one night because nothing would shut it up, I was half asleep and didn't feel like searching for a screwdriver to remove the batteries!!!:rotfl:

They have them at the Walmart up by my place. Must have been at least 6 different ones--top to bottom in one section covered with Furbys.

DS shuddered when he saw them and said he'd have nightmares. :cool1: No more of those suckers in my house! :woohoo:

My kids got them years ago when they were popular. They creeped us all out then! Kids never really enjoyed them, so I packed them both up. Then I started hearing voices! No one believed me. It was driving me crazy. LOL. Turns out the little monsters were yapping in the attic toy chest. :rotfl:

:lmao: Just read this to my DH. We are both  sounds like something we would do!

I just picked one up at Target! Thanks for letting me know they were out!

I'm getting these for my best friends little girls. I have no clue as to which ones to get:confused: One is 10 and the other is 7 years old. Pink is a "no-no" so which two colors does everyone recommend?

I like the orange/red and the yellow. The black one is cute too and kind of reminds me of a sheep...lol.

For girls that don't want one with pink on it, I would suggest the one that is blue & white hair mixed together. It's my favorite color Furby. Target calls it "Green", but Walmart calls it "Aqua"...so I don't know what the actual color name is. The "Yellow" and "Orange" would be good choices also. If you look at all of the different colors, there are two types of hair: Some have little curly tufts, and others have straight strands. You should get one of each hair type so they can be even more different. :)

There is one called "Plum" which is sort of a Wine/Berry color...I don't know if that counts as pink or not. I also like the "Purple" one which looks like navy & fuschia hair mixed together...really neat looking, but again, I don't know if it counts as pink or not. :)

My mom and I just saw these on the front page of WalMart's website :scared1:
we're praying my step-brothers don't ask for them- we still remember the ones my sisters and I had that would never shut up! They would scare us half to death, talking in the middle of the night.

I still have mine, but only put the batteries in to mess with the animals or my roommates from time to time :rolleyes1

Walmart.com have a limited selection....they are starting to run out of a lot of the colors.

They've been sold out at 3 targets and 2 walmarts near me. Guess I should get the the store early on delivery days
