OT- Where's best deal on Furbys?

I know they are not out yet,but who has the best deal on Furbys?

I don't know about the best deal, but they are already on store shelves. I saw them at Target a few days ago...I was shocked that they were I think $50! I figured they be no more than $30.

Edited to add: Maybe it was just a store display that I saw on the shelf...but they had a bunch of boxes I thought. Not really sure since I wasn't purchasing one.

Oh, yes. Those creepy little guys now have LCD screen eyes that move, they even have angry eyes and they light up! They are sure to give any child (or adult) nightmares! LOL!

It seems like everything old becomes new again at some point.Didn't think Furbys would be one of them,but asking for a friend.The price seems high to me,but what do I know.She told me that she could only find places to pre-order and some places do not have all the colors ( I don't know how many colors they come in myself ) also she said several places have stopped taking pre-orders too.She's looking for a blue one and a white one.Thanks for all the help.

My kids got them years ago when they were popular. They creeped us all out then! Kids never really enjoyed them, so I packed them both up. Then I started hearing voices! No one believed me. It was driving me crazy. LOL. Turns out the little monsters were yapping in the attic toy chest.

They used to randomly talk...we bought two so they would talk to each other but they never did. I think back in the day they were only $10.00. I found an old McD's Furby toy the other day stuck in with some other ones we were saving!

I loved my Furbys! Probably try and get my daughter one for Christmas I bet she would love them! I saw a poster up at Walmart that they are coming out in September

Those things were annoying. We had a regular one and a mini one and we put them close together because they were supposed to talk to each other and the little one did something to the big one and it went beserk and quit working, it was so funny.

My son saw the commercial and it made his wishlist.

Based on the fact that the presales at Amazon and Walmart sold out, I wouldn't expect to find them on sale right away.

I'm going to go try to find one on Sunday when they come out and I'll hang on to the receipt. If they go on sale somewhere sometime soon, I'll just return the one I find and buy the one on sale. However, if they end up being hard to get, as I suspect they might based on the sold out pre-sales and high ebay presale prices right now, I'll have one safely tucked away for Christmas.

Our Targets have them out now at $54. I saw orange, blue, white, yellow and the pink/purple one. One target had five on the shelf and the other had three.

I was at Target last night and didn't think to look, since they weren't supposed to be out till Sunday. Yes, they are more expensive this time around, but the technology is much greater this time also. They even interact with an iphone app. We thought they were a dumb idea...till we watched the video LOL, then we decided we needed one. I will get one at Target as soon as I find it, since they have a 90 day return policy, and then wait to see if they go on sale closer to the holidays.

I went back to Target today for Christmas gifts, and did indeed see the actual Furby's out on the shelves for sale. There were 2 of the bright aqua/blue ones, a purple/pink one, yellow, white, and I think one other color.

Yep - our Target had them today for $54. My kids both want one. I said absolutely not since we still have the Fijit friends from last year sitting on their shelves.

I saw them at Target today too. I plan to strongly discourage my 5 year old from asking for one for Christmas. My 18 year old daughter had one when she was younger and she never really played with it plus I think they look creepy.

I knew DD would want one the minute she saw them because she has my old Furby and plays with him quite a bit. He is brown, and I knew when she saw the blue one with the updated stuff he does it was going straight to her Christmas list. They are already out of stock for pre-order everywhere on the internet. People are already trying to sell them on Amazon and Ebay for way above the list price. Supposedly they are going to be the hot Christmas toy that everybody is trying to get just like the first time they came out. I had visions of being caught up in the desparate parents Christmas search. I was going to try to hit the stores when they opened first thing Sunday morning and hope I might find one. Thanks to your posts, I went by Target tonight. There was 1 little blue Furby sitting on the shelf! They also had I think 2 white ones, 1yellow one, 1 orange one and 1 black one also. I let DD see the new Furby on the internet tonight and of course the minute she saw it she went absolutely nuts over the little guy and started begging for one for Christmas. You guys saved me a whole bunch of trouble!!!!

By the way- according to the internet- they still don't have an on and off switch. UGH. We are pros at putting "old" Furby to sleep though. I'm really hoping that new Furby goes into sleep mode as easy as the "old" guy, or I may be really sorry!

FYI for anyone else looking for them, right now Wal-mart has some of the colors available for purchase on their website. Mickey's friend, they are showing both the blue and white available, so if your friend plans to buy them I would tell her to jump on it now. I don't know how long it will last because when I checked their website before leaving work and going by Target today, they were not accepting orders, but at least for right now they are available again. I wouldn't count on finding these things on sale anywhere before Christmas if they are the hot toy they are expected to be. If they don't turn out to be big sellers and she finds them on sale later, she can always return the full price ones and get the cheaper ones.
