I have to get new ink for my printer, but I don't want to pay through the roof for printer ink. I have heard that online stores are way cheaper than the big box stores. Has anyone had experience with this, and if so, where do you get your ink? I have gotten ink before at Costco, but they've been out the last couple of times I've been there :sad2:

We order from blankdvdmedia.com. I believe that they are located in Montreal. We have always had great service.

Honestly, I usually just go with Staples, but I keep an eye on their flyers so I can snap up any deals or sales. In the past, I've taken advantage of "buy two toners, get a free paper shredder" and "buy two toners, get a free case of printer paper". I like to have spare ink on hand, so I don't mind buying multiples.

We were looking for some new ink for our HP home printer--would you believe it was actually $30 cheaper to buy a whole new printer (WITH INK IN IT) than it was to buy the ink alone? What kind of business model is that, anyway?

Ebay. i can get 15 cartridges for $25. I used to work for Epson Printers and printer companies make their money off ink and paper. You don't need to buy their brand. I print photos with my ebay ink and they look great. You get 10 black and 5 colour, and you can't beat the price.

Bought my last cartridge at:

Have found that my HP is now "old" (4yrs) and getting harder to find the ink for!!! :scared1:

Really don't want to but may have to splurge and buy a new printer if I have issues finding a cartridge when the current one runs out and will have to pay the new fee associated with purchasing electronics!

PP mentioned that a replacement cartridge cost more than a new printer with cartridge...... shows you that the printer companies view their products are disposable! Not very GREEN, eh? :upsidedow

I've seen this too, but don't forget most printers only come with "starter" ink cartridges. Usually around half the capacity of a regular one.;)

Was this the refillable ink where you send in your old cartridge and they refill them?
I tired this once, it was o.k. for just black & white printing, but photo printing colour was awful.

We buy from here too- comes very fast in the mail- our cartridges are $5 each and they have always worked great.
