OT-What will be Your "Big Ticket Item" Christmas Gift this year??

To be honest, Our "big ticket" item this year will be Hannah Montana concert tickets...6 people going and it's just far enough away that we need to stay in a hotel that night.

They'll all also get other gifts as well, but that will be their big present!

Tickets go on sale at the end of this month and the concert is Jan 7th or 8th (depending on whether we go to DC or Baltimore)

The big ticket item for our 9 year old DD is Hannah Montanna tickets. The 4 of us are going and the concert is 3 days after Xmas. For DS 4 years old, we already picked up the whole Mickey Mouse Clubhouse bobbing house set. The whole thing cost about $200. I will also get DD the new American Girl doll Julie. I will also get DS one more expensive thing but not sure what yet. The rest of their gifts from us will be stuff like cloths for DD's AG dolls, I'm really not sure what else!

OP, I just looked at that link to the kitchen set and I want to play with it!!LOL It looks so cute! DS has a kitchen set and he loves playing with it. I think that is a great choice for your son!!

Our big ticket item is usually a family gift, like a trip or something everyone can use. Some examples for the past few years: a computer, trip to NYC, zoo membership and "adoption" of an animal, and hiking shoes for everyone (we hike a lot).

This year I am getting a new camcorder for everyone to use.

My 4yo son loves the Little People sets. My goodness, he and my 2yo dd play with them for hours. lol

Our big ticket item will be the new baby!

Besides a Disney Trip ;)

I'm looking for ideas! If you know, can you include a picture link in your post?

So far, I'm thinking of getting DS (Age 4) this play kitchen ($259.99) as his big item this year:

I know it's pricey, but it's just too cute :goodvibes

That is really cute, but 4 is about when my girls stopped playing with their kitchen. I'd get her somewhere with a play kitchen and see if she really likes it.

We will (hopefully) get Hannah Montana tickets- 4 of us. Both DD's will get AG dolls and accessories, and then a new computer for the family and a laptop for me.

We're getting the melissa and doug play kitchen for our triplets this year. I think it's around $260.

Wii for DS -

When my DS was little he LOVED the Little People. He would also sit for hours and play with them. I miss those days!

Lets see BIG TICKET XMAS GIFT???

3 airline tickets to Orlando, FL
4 night stay @ Hampton Inn Suite
3 parks passes to the MVMCP
and.................... 3 tickets to the Blue Man Group

Thats DD's big Christmas gift :rotfl2:

Oh, Step 2 stuff is still made in the USA! Just thought I'd share since I was surprised to find that info out recently. To be honest, I'm going back to basics for my son's gifts (just too many toy recalls lately). He'll only be 2 so I can still keep from buying all the "licensed character" toys.

Our trip to Disney onsite for the first time with character meals to LTT, CP, CRT, CM, Norway, and meals to Le Cellier, Coral Reef, Sci-Fi, Tony's Town Square....tickets to MVMCP and an appt with BBB...plus souvenier money is Christmas and birthday for our family. Our bdays are Oct, Nov, Jan, Feb. Oh, we are shipping back home some small gifts from Disney to have them open on Christmas morning. But our big ticket for bdays and christmas is Disney!:goodvibes

I think I'm getting my kids a computer this year. I'm tired of them asking to use mine for Webkinz. ;)

My girls love their JD gator. We've had it for 3 years and they still enjoy riding/driving it everywhere and we've not had any problems with it. I think your son would love it!!!

That kitchen is too cute! I was thinking about getting this for DS. It's a little more than I want to spend but I know he would LOVE it! I may have to choose something else though, because this seems to get bad reviews....

A Mother - daughter weekend trip to NYC....Christmas Spectacular (Rockettes), 2 broadway plays, visit to American Doll store (etc). I can't wait; this will be a big surprise for her. :woohoo:

If my DH has his way, we will get a new imac for our daughter. I would like a new couch.:santa:

My older DS (3) is going to get some buildings, track, and trains for his Thomas collection.

The younger one... I have NO idea!
