OT - Weather atm DLP -Extreme freezing night 24/01 ongoing

16.00 and it's still nice and sunny with temperature of -4° feels like -6°

Last year we got this colder weather at the end of Jan so it's well earlier this year. It lasted a week-10 days

Meant to be going on Monday for the day, depends on what the weather is like. Although with the temps low it's too cold for snow, fingers crossed it stats like that

11.00 and it's -4° feels like -7°. It is heating up to -1° feels like -6° as there could well be light snow showers after 15.00

Our first visit at Easter 2008 was a snow covered cold visit an it was wonderful.
Well it was only wonderful after a rain soaked visit in August 2010. Then we looked back with our rose covered specs and wished for the rain to just stop. Of course it did stop on our last day and the sun came out. I think i may have sworn a fair bit that day!
Let's see what Easter 2013 brings us!

WOW! Snow at Easter 2008! Hopefully not this year- we go on 3rd April. We have been 3 times at Easter, first time the year the park opened and it was chilly, then in 2008 April 2nd and it was wet and chilly then April 2011 and it was scorching!! AMAZING- everyone was going around with their vest tops on. We were boiling because we expected cold weather

Thanks for the update, we are going to make a decision on Sunday as whether or not we go Monday. It's only on the Sun newspaper deal do wouldn't lose much money. How are the roads when it snows? Do they keep them clear?

Still snowing, due to stop around 2.00 am and it will freeze so very tough going on the roads tomorrow as they wont have gritted many besides the A roads.

The auto routes have been gritted but all the other roads don't get done especially not the ones out in the "country" around DLP.
We live in a town on a main road and no one ever grits our road - We've got at least 5cm on the pavement and it's going to be a real ice rink tomorrow am.

I'll let you know what it all looks like in the area tomorrow as OH is going to Meaux so will be passing DLP on some of these smaller roads

Has stopped snowing but more is planned today late evening and throughout most of tomorrow - temperatures are due to be bitter -2/3° feels like -8/9° and snow and wind with that - not a great Sunday out

Right now we are at around -2° feels like -5° and the sky is white - it's dry and not much wind.

The weather alert level 3 (the highest) is still in place today for the Seine et Marne dept and caution is required on the roads.

Meteo France thinks that this bout of extreme weather should be over by 21.00 on Sunday evening but the freezing temperatures look like continuing a bit longer

They also show possible snow showers Mon/Tues/Wed

It has started snowing here again and is due to continue until late tomorrow afternoon ... -1° feels like -7°.

Worse part being that is it snowing onto ice as all surfaces are frozen again now
