OT:Wasaga beach

i may go up North in midland ontario this weekend,
Just wondering if i should drop by wasaga beach or scenic caves.
How is the beach sand now ? Any water activities?

I have two small kids. (4 and 7 ) and i am not hiking fan.

Wasaga is great. If you have never been, just know that you can walk out for 50-75 meteres and still be waist deep. Water is warm and clean, and sand is soft and clean. There are 6 distinct beach areas and numbers of more that are not. The length of the whole is 7km, longest freshwater in the world.
Beach 1 is the busiest and has a small strip of bars and resturants. But we like beach 3 or 4 little quieter. If going to one of the marked beaches know that you can get lifejackets for free, small deposit, when you drive up to the gates.
As for the scenic caves they are another 1/2hour away in Collingwood. Not bad have some fun activities, but if there I would also stop in at Blue Mountain and hang out in the village. There is also some great activities there for the kids too.

Our kids loved the scenic caves in Collingwood. They have a great suspension bridge along with a fun playground. You could easily spend 4 hrs there. I agree with going to the village and checking out some of the other attractions too. Specifically the Ridge Runner Moutain Coaster.

Hi , speaking of wasaga beach, which area would offer some water activties ,ideal for small kids?

That stupid suspension bridge scared the living crap out of me lol. But, my kids liked it.

Skip Midland - just stay in Wasaga and Collingwood. (I kid I kid)
