OT-UPDATE on car Repo..

I dont know how to update our other thread. Sorry

I am very frustrated this afternoon. I called this afternoon, because I was told that I should have a confirmed deferment, and I could call to see if all was ok. Not to mention I was told that it would come in the mail with my next bill/invoice.

I talked to somebody today, that was rude and hateful. I just wanted to confirm that they showed I made the payment, and to check the deferment status. He never asked for my confirmation number showing it went thru, he never once told me that it had posted, and all he could or would tell me was to call us back tomorrow. He did say that it hadnt been approved for the deferment, and that it was up for review??

Then I said well that wasnt what I was told at all earlier this week, and his response was"well this is what I am telling you know, you can take it for what it is worth". So, I said thanks Dave for no help at all, and just hung up. I got aggravated, and I know I shouldnt have just hung up, but I feel like now, I am just jumping thru hoops.:mad:

BTW, I know I dont have a right to get mad, because I am behind, but I wish they would quit giving me the run around.
 
I'm not sure about the laws where you live but I would start taping the phone calls you make. I work in customer service and if I was as rude as the people you have dealt with are, I would be looking for a new job. I hope you have better luck tomorrow :hug:
 
Well, Ijust called back, hoping to getsomeone else. Well, this person, is trying to tell me that I ammore behind that what I know I am. She is saying that I just made April's payment this week! There is no way I am that far behind, I told her I had proof, and she just disagreed with me. I told her even the Account rep I talked to the other day said I would just be 60 days behind, after I amde this payment this week. and this woman said well, I show your deferment is trying to be approved for 3 months!!!:scared1: Now, that isnt what I was told or agreed to, not to mention it puts an extra payment on the tail end of a loan that I know shouldnt be there.

I followed some of your other thread and the runaround that you are getting is just not right! Not to mention, whether you are behind or not that doesn't give the people you spoke to the right to be rude to you. I work in customer service and I deal with late payments sometimes, but I would never dream of being rude to the customers!:scared1:

Is your bank local? Is there a branch manager you can talk to at your bank? Awhile back, I was a little behind and had to ask my bank for one month's deferrment. I went to the main branch and filled out the paperwork there. Can you go down to your bank in person and talk to someone there? Maybe then they can give you the info in writing.

I would first go through and see how much you have paid in the last few months and on what dates then write it down. I would call tomorrow and tell them you need to speak to a Manager. I can check my payments online maybe you could try that. Maybe some of your payments you have made are not showing up. I would tell them the situation and let them know that you are keeping the arrangements but they are not deffering the payments like promised and that they are stating you owe more money then what you do. I would ask for it in writing and would not pay another dime until you get it settled. I personally think you are talking to too many different people who are all trying to scare you and get you to make payments because it is their job.
 
I cant talk to a local bank. It is financed with Citifinancial, and there isnt one in my state.

And I think I am getting the run around too, everytime I ask for my account rep. which is who I am supposed to call back from her voice mails, I am told I cant be transferred, and she never gives me an extension. This has gotten way out of hand, and I need some peace about this.

I cant live everyday in fear thinking here comes the tow truck.

I am sorry I keep posting on here, with my burden. I know y'all are probably sick of reading it, and I am to be honest sick of this too. But you guys know alot more than I do on the in's and out's of stuff, and it is always better to have another perspective looking at it.

Dreamer, stop feeling guilty. You have done nothing but TRY TO WORK WITH THEM to get yourself "good". They are not working inside of the way collections people are supposed to work. They are not treating you like a human. Yes, you're behind. You're trying to get caught up in the ways they are *offering* you. They are the ones who are doing wrong here, while you try to do right.

I would consider contacting the Better Business Bureau, seriously. You can do it online, even.

I know how guilty you feel, and I KNOW how much you kinda feel that you deserve this treatment. But you don't. They aren't behaving within the law, as you try to make things right.

Don't feel bad. You are doing what you can to make it better. Hang in there and stay tough!
