Ot - Tragic Accident In Cancun

Our local paper arrived and headline was Teen killed on family vacation. It basically said the 17 yr. old boy is a junior from my son's high school and he was involved in a car accident. Sister in critical condition and a comment or two from the school and it was confirmed by Mexican authorities. When I picked up my son after school they were told that a cab driver in Cancun was speeding and went through a red light, the father had broken ribs, sister is critical but the boy was discharged after being checked. He came out of er, threw-up blood and died from massive internal injuries. I have been upset all afternoon, just so tragic and speechless.

This is a horrible tragedy. My parents live in Staten Island and my mothers was telling me about this story. It is so sad. I was in Cancun a while ago, and I remember then the cab drivers drove very fast and carelessly.

I was just in NYC and they drove the same way there. I made sure I had my seat belt on.
