OT to Disney - Gettysburg

We'll most likely be in Gettysburg next month. We've been on the historical tours (self-guided/and CD guided) twice in past visits, but we may go through them briefly again. We have a favorite historical tavern to eat at and there is Boyd's and some shopping. Anybody know of anything else that is good for families? We have a 3 and 5 yo. I'm coming up empty-handed. Thanks for the advice!

Explore and More! It is a little childrens museum behind the library in town. My son is five and we never miss it! Or climbing the rocks on Devils Den.

We used to live in Gettysburg. I would definitely recommend Land of the Little Horses. There are two putt putt places, the one on Rt. 97 is the better one. Also, try Ritas Ice, Brewsters and for local pizza - give Tommy's a try on Steinwehr Ave. Its my favorite!!! Enjoy your trip.

The park service occassionally does programs specifically aimed at children. Be sure to check out the NPS site for Gettysburg to see if they have anything going on for the dates you'll be there. Also, the campfire programs at Pitzers woods are pretty neat too. Check the schedule to see what the topics/themes are for your trip. I've always seen kids there.
