Can anyone suggest a great sunscreen for this blond/fair skinned family? Anything "light" so you don't know you're wearing it? I HATE to feel all greasy.

I am so fair that I burn if I stick my arm out the window. I love the Coppertone Sport Continuous Spray. You don't notice it at all, and it is so easy to apply.

we are a family of redheads and blondes and we live in florida and proactically sleep at the beach.. we only use BULLFROG they have a great new stick that i carry in my ourse no grease looks like chapstcik and it is perfect fro covering teh nose and ears in a hurry..

Florida family here, recommending Bullfrog too! It's feels pretty light but still has great coverage.

Do they carry Bullfrog in most stores? I just came back from WalMart and was looking at different sunblocks and don't remember seeing this one. Thanks.

Here is another vote for the Coppertone Sport Continuous Spray. It dries quickly and you don't even notice that it's on. We used it on our cruise and it protected our fair headed skin great! A cast member saw us putting it on and asked about it.

Another BIG vote for the Coppertone Continue Spray! I used it on my 2 yr old and she did not burn once last summer. I live in Houston TX so that should tell you alot. I will never buy anything else. It goes on easy dries fast and is not greasy.

I'm another one who's so fair that I burn if I so much as think about the sun..... I've tried a couple different continuous-spray sunscreens and just love them! DD8 insists that it makes her face "feel tight" but I've never noticed that and it's never seemed to spoil her day. :) (Spray in hands and wipe on face - spraying right onto face is just asking for eye irritation, imho.) They are just so easy to put on and there's no greasy feeling at all. We used it in July at WDW and didn't burn, though I did reapply it partway through the day to be sure.

our walmart, CVS publix all sell it, When i have travled to alabama, cali arizona they have also sold it....
for the beach we buy there waterpro gel it is very light little grease and it works like a charm at night you have to scrub it off.. of course we reapply all day but for swimming and active sports its the best.. I stay away from baby sunscreen lotions in pink bottles they bleach out my swimsuits and towles and i figure if it is doing that to our towels whatthe heck is it doing to our kids!

We love the Coppertone Sport continuous spray too. It's so quick and easy and gives you great protection. For faces, I usually use a Coppertone stick, as the alcohol in the spray is drying to our skin on our face. I keep the stick in my bag for any needed touch-ups. Haven't tried a Bullfrog stick, may need to look at that. Enjoy!

My kids have sensitive skin and what has worked for ushas been neutrogena. (they broke out with Coppertone and Bullfrog) The best for them is Mustella but it is a very thick heavy one. The neutrogena comes in a spray.

We like Neutrogena Sport. One note of caution -try out any new sunscreen before your trip. We've found out (unfortunately while we were away) that we are allergic to many sunscreens (even the ones made especially for babies!)

My family uses spectra 3 spf 50 by water babies. We used it while in florida and we didn't even tan.

For sensitive skin I also recommend the Neutrogena or Earth's Best Organic. When we went last month I was just coming off having some bad allergic dermatitis and was in the midst of a big hives outbreak from meds for the dermatitis, but knock wood the Earth's Best didn't give me any reactions. It was only 30spf, but really did the job (my son tans but I'm fair to the point of ghostly and usually use at least a 45spf).

Another fair irish redhead!

I love how easy it is to apply Coppertone Sport Continuous Spray .... for a day in the water i would go with bullfrog. You probally get more bang for your buck with the bullfrog also... since the coppertone spray does not cantain much.
I'v gotten sun poisening while in FL ... never again!

I picked up my bottle of Kids Bullfrog at Target for about $7 I think. I do need to get a face stick too.

I live in Fla, and by the end of the summer my kids barely have a tan line. The Spectra 3 Baby stuff works awesome but is super thick.

ANother fair skinned Irish-Scotish girl here.

BULLFROG is the way to go. SPF 36, Qic Gel Spray.

We've been using it around 4 years now, and have not yet burned.

I think I'll try the Bullfrog. I found it at drugstore.com. (Along with that Bodyglide stuff everybody talks about.)

Thanks again! :wizard:
