Hi,

Where are your favorite places to take kids in the summer? Just looking for some new ideas :flower:

Rainbow Valley in Cavendish, PEI.
It's a 40 acre family operated amusement park. This is the last season for it though...the Federal government has purchased the property and is converting it into walking trails and parking!

We have been there twice and are booked for a third holiday.
Can't say enough good about this place. Very nice family atmosphere. Tons of activities for all ages.

I know you are not the fondest when it comes to camping but this place was great www.ourponderosa.com and it isn't too far from home. Gotta Go Kat

Thanks Kat, I am actually considering taking them camping there. Looks like fun!

We had a great time and likely will go there again this summer. They have a lot of activities for the kids. They have a chuckwagon that looks like the old covered wagons that you can buy french fries poutine etc from. My kids enjoyed the train ride around the park also. They have mini golf and paddle boats out front. It really is a great place and clean too.

In T.O., we like Ontario Place, Harbourfront, Centreville, Ashbridges Bay, the ROM, etc.

We also like going to Niagara Falls. And we've been meaning to get back to the African Lion Safari. There's also supposed to be a big cats place out towards Port Hope, but we've never made it there.

Almost forgot! Storybook Gardens in London. Is that still around? Ours is too old to take, but I remember it from when I was a kid.

They completely renovated Storybook Gardens last year. Really nice now and they put in a splash pad for the kids. :flower:

Is Centreville good for kids ages 5 and 7? I was there once as a kid myself and don't really remember it. I do remember the ferry ride though!

Centrevillle is great for young kids. They have all kinds of rides for little ones.

If anyone wants places to go in British Columbia, let me know :goodvibes

London also has the London Regional childrens museum which is kind of like a little science centre.
Kitchener has sportworld and bingemans park. Bingemans also has camping.
