OT----Static and what to do with it?!?!?!?

So I am not sure if it is just the weather or what is going on but we literally have static everywhere in our house! How do I get rid of it or tone it down some..I with our brushes I can put hairspray on them and that should help but we have a microfiber couch and everytime you move from it you get shocked The other MAJOR pest is anything fleece..I use the dryer sheets and with our NF coats I have air dried them but nothing seems to help..any suggestions welcomed

You need to increase the humidity in your house by using a cool mist humidifier. Higher humidity will make your house feel warmer too allowing you to turn your thermostat down.

Most of the time, static around this time of year is caused from dryness in the air.. so I would bump up your humidifier a little bit, or even invest in a cool-air humidifier for the rooms that you're in the most.

Oh ok great..yeah we definitely don't have a humidifier but I have heard the peds mention the cool mist one to help with snuffy noses..will that one make the air inside the room cooler though??

A humidifier won't change the actual air temperature, but can change how it feels. For example, in the summer, higher humidity makes it feel hotter and more oppressive.

We have the same problem so this weekend I put a pot of water on the stove with some cinnamon sticks and let it boil. It replaces the moisture in the air and makes the house smell good! Don't forget to check the pot, wouldn't want all the water to boil away and start a fire though
