Good Morning Everyone: I know we've talked about recent Broadway shows before. The media blitz has started for the new Spider-Man show. Bono and The Edge have done the music, and "The Lion King's" Julie Taymor is the director. Unfortunately, based on what I've read in the NY Times, it sounds like the show is a huge mess - huge budget, big delays, and story problems. It's like a train-wreck I can't keep my eyes off of...

This could another "Thou Shalt Not": AMAZING creative talent that culminated in a perfect firestorm of suck.

But then again, it could be awesome. I haven't seen it, I shouldn't judge.

But I am. A little. :rotfl:

I wonder how much Disney had a hand in this. Hopefully it will be better than a few plays I've seen. Lord of the Rings comes to mind.

ugh when are they going to stop making movies into plays and vice versa....there has to be someone out there with an original idea :headache:

My guy is a big Spiderman fan. He watched the piece on 60 Minutes. He looked intrigued. But I doubt enough to make a trip to NYC.

I can't wait to see it. I'll wait until spring when they get the "kinks" worked out.

I saw a commercial for this on TV the other night. Interesting!

Just MHO, but if you want to see real theatre, see The Scottsboro Boys, which is closing on the 12th of December. Or Next to Normal, which is closing January 2nd.
