I asked this question a couple of months ago and received very helpful responses so I'm going to ask again!!!
Traveling by car from CT to Sarasota to bring DD to her internship at the Florida Studio Theater
and 
. DH and I will be flying home out of Tampa airport. The best original advice I received suggested a 1 day car rental from Bradenton airport dropping off in Tampa (no drop off charge). The best rate I've found for this is a pre-paid with Alamo for about $55 with taxes & whatever else they tack on.
However, the Marriott website for our hotel lists an Express Shuttle for $30 per person (plus tip of course and BTW how much does one tip a car/shuttle service for 2 ppl, carry-ons only 50 mile trip?) I called the hotel and spoke to a very nice but somewhat clueless desk clerk who said they had several private car services that they use charging $65 for a trip to the airport.
So I'm thinking that for maybe $20 more, we won't have to deal with shuttling to the airport to pick up the rental, driving to Tampa ourselves, dropping the car off, shuttling to the airport...
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? any experience with "Express Shuttle", or any car services in the Sarasota area?
