Just curious if anyone has one of these or heard anything about them? :confused3 My DH wants one of these because he swears our mattress is the cause of his backaches and lots of tossing and turning...All I know is they're not cheap!

I have sleeped on a sleep number bed and we both hated it, but there again we do have a tempurpedic.

We purchased a Sleep Number bed last Memorial Day and it was the best purchase we have ever made. We went to a place called Mattress Firm. They have both Tempurpedic and Sleep Number. We originally went in to buy a Tempurpedic because they were having a sale, it was 3 years no interest. We laid on all the beds there, we were there for 3 hours. I have pretty severe neck trouble and after getting my number right I have slept better than I have in years. I have to have a soft bed, my husband calls it my gulley and he likes a firm bed. We were changing beds every two years. Each time we were buying good, top of the line beds.

I will say that is there are two of you sleeping on it and one likes it soft and one likes it hard then you will need to call Sleep Number and get an insert. They are provided free and are easy to install.

If you both have different firmness levels or neck, back problems then Sleep Number may be the way to go. Take your time, go together and lay on all of them. We ended up having to buy the most expensive, not due to quality but it really did feel better on my neck.

Good luck. PM me if you have any more questions.

Another one here we have had ours for about 2 years now it's the 500 dualchamber queen.

I have RLS and it's all but gone away with the SCB. sleep so well it's not even funny.

DW still plays with her numbers every once in a while but Mine are set

$5 when watching TV and stuff and then it's 25 for sleeping.

We did the )5 financing and just paid a little each month until it was paid off before the promo ended.

We bought ours about 5 years ago and it is one of the best purchases we have ever made (esp during pg's)

We've had a Sleep Number bed for about 3 years. I like my side very firm (85) and DH keeps his semi-firm at 65. One thing they tell you is that it takes at least a week and maybe longer to determine your sleep number. You choose a number based on whether you like your mattress firm or soft and try that number for a week. It takes at least that long to adjust to it and determine if it's going to work for you. If you're still not comfortable, you can adjust it up or down in small increments until you find what works for you. I know several people who say they don't like it but they keep changing their numbers and never give themselves a chance to really get used to one.

You also have to be aware that the bed adjusts itself according to the room temperature. Mine usually drops its number during the day on cold days so I have to check it every night and set it back to 85. Sometimes I wake up and it's gone up to 100 and I can tell because my back hurts so I have to reset it. DH's side never seems to do this. Just mine.

Ours does this too--my side only! And I can ALWAYS tell when my number is off! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my sleep number bed, so does DH. He actually has a herniated disc that causes him a lot of back pain and his doc said that it was one of the best things he could have for relieving the pressure! I have recommended it to SEVERAL family members and they all love theirs as well!

Thanks to all for your responses!!!!!!! I'm just wondering how much this "comfortable" bed will cost us...

My in laws have one and they love it. DH and I shopped for one, and almost bought one. We sleep in the middle of our bed together. When we test drove the bed, we could not get over the piece in the center of the bed that separates the two sleep chambers. It was not comfy for dh. We liked as we were each on a sleep chamber, but when we cozied up like we sleep, we just didn't like it. I think our next purchase will be a Temperpedic.
