OT-Second Dog

We have a 3 year old mixed breed (think Tramp) and have brought a 4 year old Cocker/Shepard Mix into the family. The second dog is doing GREAT but the first dog is very upset. She has had several accidents in the house!! Help! Any suggestions for a happy "family"?

How long has the new dog been there? It can take a month or two to really settle into the new pack structure.

Your old dog isn't having accidents, she is marking her territory. I'd tether her to me and go through the same steps I did for housebreaking the first time.

Our 3 year old dog went through the same problem for a week or so after we brough home our puppy.

Definitely watch the Dog Whisperer on National Geographic Channel. Cesar Milan is awesome on that show and after you watch a few episodes, you'll really get the hang of everything related to dog behavior goes back to you having to be the "pack leader."

I'm not perfect at this, so I'm not saying we have things down with our dog...but if you watch this show a few times, dog behavior becomes so much simpler to deal with!
