OT = sad news about Peggie's dad...

Thank you all for the thoughts and cards I have already received.
It has been a difficult two months.
My dad was diagnosed the week before Christmas and they said 3 to 6 months. I didn't think it would be this soon but knowing what would happen gave me the chance to say all the things to him I never had a chance to say to my mom who left us so suddenly.
I was with him when he left us, and was able to stroke his head and tell him it was ok to go to mom. He breathed a sigh and was gone. It was as if he was glad to go and was waiting for us to tell him.
I will miss him until it is time for me to be with my mom and dad.

Peggie, I'm sorry it took me so long to see this. I should have said it sooner, but I am very sorry that your dad passed away. You were fortunate to have quality time with him toward the end. I lost my dad quickly, like your mom and it is hard to think of all things left unsaid. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers,
