Has anyone ever been to the RV shows in Atlantic City NJ? I noticed that there is one in October and I thought it would be fun to go. We can probably stay at a casino within walking distance of the convention center.

We've never been to a show and do not know what to expect. We're not looking to buy at this time. Maybe in 3 years.

Also, are there a lot of fumes? I remember new RVs having a really bad smell. Does that exist at the shows, or are the units pretty well aired out?

I have been to the AC show when it was held there in March. It was big. It is held in the buildging that looks like it is attached to the train station as you are comming in from the AC expressway (on left). Nice walk from some of the casinos. I have a conversion hi-top van so we get to park in the garage next to the entrance doors (due to height restrictions) and I believe it cost $15. Usually the fall show is not so crowded - the spring one is were everyone has camping fever after a long winter :cool1: . The smell is there in most units because they are new - from what I heard it is the formaldyde (forgive spelling) that is in the new wood. It gives me a headache at times. I am not sure how much there will be in the campground info isle since it is the end of the season - I know the Raritan, NJ does not have much campground info in the fall. The spring is the BIG ONE. It is not cheap to get in - about $9 each but the company who runs the show will have discout of $1 - I just don't remember the site at this moment! When you find the dates let me know - always looking to see whats new and hopefully talk hubby into an upgrade!
Happy Camping!

Thanks! That building next to the train station is the convention center. I've been there for other things.

We have a popup now, but will need to upgrade to something (hybrid??) when our kids get a little bigger and no longer can share the small bunk end. I know models change, but I figure it will take us a few years to decide on what we need.
