Thank you to everyone that posted authors.
I am almost done with Janet Evancovich and needed something else to read. Now I have a long list to go to the library with. Can't wait to go tomorrow.
Besides Lisa Kleypas (and the other two authors one of the PP mentioned with Ms. Kleypas)
Johanna Lindsey
Janye Ann Krentz (who writes as Amanda Quick for historical and Jayne Castle for future)
Julia Quinn
Jude Deveraux
Debbie Macomber
Lisa Howard
With historical romance I usually read Joanna Lindsey, Kathleen Woodiwiss or Julie Garwood.
i was going suggest the same. I'm not sure of the writer as it's been forever but Ashes in the Wind, and The Wolf and the Dove are two of my favorites.
Kathleen E Woodiwiss.....she was one of the first authors I read, actually the 3 you listed are really the first ones I read. I borrowed from my Mom and I still read them all again and again. I love KEW's Ashes and Wolf and Dove, but my all time favorite of hers is Shanna.....I can read her again and again, in fact the first time I ever cried reading a book was a KEW book.
I can't get into Charlaine or Laurel, and I've tried. But I adore Sherrilyn....she is amazing, and yes, she writes hot stories. lol I'll add the Black Dagger Brotherhood to my wish list.
If you like fantasy romance, Mercedes Lackey has two great series: Tales of the 500 Kingdoms (traditional fairy tales with twists and turns) and Wizards of London (magic/post-Victorian England setting.)
I like a lot of her stuff, love the whole Valdemar series but they aren't really romance, I do like her 500 Kingdoms, those are really fun to read and count as romance.
I own every Mallory book there is, except the last 2, I did read them but haven't bought them yet. I'm waiting to get them on my Nook. I want them to be discounted.....LOL
