An interesting read... though, to me - no park will ever match disney due to the fact after being to such a place I now find any of the UK theme parks very plain and just generally miserable....

It will be interesting to see if it goes ahead, whilst the roads around the area aren't brilliant they may improve them if the area is developed. As others have said it already has great train links with the High speed service & Eurostar.

It would certainly improve the area, the only down side would be they would definately need to build a new hospital as the delightful Darenth Valley cannot cope now, hate to see what happens with expanding the area

It wouldn't affect my opinion on going to Disney as I live about 20 mins away from Dartford so it wouldn't be a holiday for me.

As this area is something we'd be looking at moving to in 2-4 years time Im all for this, we are gradually trying to move South (due to our love of crossing the channel) and hopefully like someone has said with the need for better healthcare Id be able to pick up a job after Iv qualified...

On a more serious note, the developers must be aware of the close proximity to Disneyland and must know that this is going to have to be something that can rival it if it aims to attract anywhere close to Disneylands visitors numbers. I like the idea of the shopping malls and visitor centres alongside the park but does that make it more of a 'small' theme park and another large retail park?
