Okay .. This may be a stupid question, but I'm hoping you folks don't think I'm totally stupid. Can I get from London to Kent and back in a day. I was reading about Dickens World opening up next month. I will be on the ABD in June/July and we have an afternoon free. Is this doable? It sounds interesting, and I don't know when I will make it back to London. With just one free afternoon, it would probably be better to just see the sites of London, but thought I would inquire.

By the way, have any of you heard any early reports about this theme park?

Thanks.

Just popping this over to the community board :)

I've only read that it is to open. There was a report on the BBC website

Some people who live in Chatham do commute to work in London, but for an afternoon I'm not sure it would be worth it. If you have a real interest in Dickens you could always visit the Dickens Museum in London

Thanks ... I just heard somewhere about this Themepark and it sounded interesting. The museum does as well. I appreciate your assistance.

It is just down the road from me, all I really know about it is that they had to delay the opening by 6 weeks as it was already meant to be open.

It doesn't take too long to get from London on the train about 20-40 minutes. Then you will have to get a bus to the Chatham Maritime.

If you only have an afternoon free I would spend it in London as there is loads more to see then in Chatham, although it is up to you. Maybe wait until it opens to see what the reviews are like.
