Just wanted to ask for prayers for the family of my 8 year old sons best friend. On Monday his BFF lost his 4 year battle with Neuroblastoma, he had just turned 8 on Valentines day.
I realize this is off topic but there are so many people on the dis and this family can use all the prayers they can get to get thru these next few weeks. The funeral was today so they have been busy with arrangements and family from out of town but next week when every one goes home and there time is not consumed with doctors visits and meds it's gonna hit them hard. Thank you.

A lot of people don't know what to say to someone who has lost a child, mainly because the very thought of it is way too painful for people, especially for parents, to contemplate. It goes against the very nature of life to bury a child, we should go first. Don't point out (even though it is said in kindness) that at least they have other children or can have another one. That diminishes the life of the one lost as if any one child could ever replace another.
