but I think the big trick is to have the change themselves. Remind them that it sure would have been quicker to use the bathroom..
I also agree with just staying home for a few days. With my DD she had no interest. We stayed home for a week and I gave her a lot of attention. She had to sit on a blanket, and she was in undies and we played all day, with bathroom breaks every 1/2hr or so. The first day she had about 10 accidents.. but the next day 5 and the next 3.. then we were done. I think it just took her knowing that we weren't going back, and if she ever wanted to leave the house she would get her act together. It was also a big pain for her to have to change herself, and miss time from what we were doing.
Now my DS woke up a few days after he was 3 and said, "I don't want to wear diapers anymore." and "training" was never an issue.
Good luck..
Also..I imagine if you sent him to your daycare provider w/undies on she would get on board quick so he would not be making a lot of messes.

We've decided we are not above M&M bribes! 1 for sitting, 2 for actually going. I really don't think she knowns when she has to go #2 yet. She suffers from constipation due to the low muscle tone and takes meds to help. She always seems really surprised when she goes, so I think it will be a bit longer before she completely get it. And I don't think she has ever woken up dry! We actually set the timer for every 20 minutes the first few days and stayed home. DD11 and DD8 really got into it when I offered them the same M&M bribe that DD3 got if they cheered and danced when she went. She adores them so it was a big motivation for her!
Pixie dust to all potty training families!
