I might make the weekend my aim!!

I'm not too amused at the moment. DH just come back from a meeting with some sad news. We are quite involved in our local theatre, DH is a musical director for shows and does sound and lighting plus he is the IT manager for the theatre in our town (it is run by volunteers) and I volunteer at the theatre and perform in shows there with our theatre group. We rescued the theatre from closure about 5 years ago and now a new theatre is being built and due to open in 2 years time. The plan was for the council to keep the current theatre open until the new one was ready. Now they have decided they are pulling it down 2 years early. Our panto at christmas will be the last show in the building (quite fitting really as our theatre group was the 1st group to perform in the theatre.) However this means we have no where to perform our future shows which we have paid the rights for.

Go one, we will help you:woohoo:

I thought yesterdays quiz was frustratin but todays is even worse:headache:

Thanks, I haven't been taking part in the quiz, but I looked at today questions, there was only 1 I didn't know off the top of my head! I guess it is because one of my favourite things to do at DLRP is detailed photography!

That is not very fair - could you get the money back?

You wouldn't like to share would you ?

Does anyone know where we could get a reasonably priced mens purple suit?? Robert has decided he really wants to be The Joker for Halloween....

Right I'm off to bed now, got meetings tomorrow night so it'll be a late one :(... Night!

We can claim the money back from the council, but we have no where to perform. We are used to performing in a professional theatre so we need to find somewhere. We do West End/Broadway type shows with those type of sets that cost us thousands to hire so we can't just go to a school/church hall. When we did Singing in the Rain we actually hired the set that was used in the west end (costing about £15,000 to put on!!)

Purple suits, hummm? Is there a fancy dress hire shop he could use?

I think he'd like a suit he could keep afterwards.... But there's not really any fancy dress shops near here...........

I like the dye idea, we can get clothes dye in our woolworths in our town, I have done that before for costumes for the theatre.
