sorry Im back - Just had to comfort DD - we've just discovered one of her goldfish had died. Thats the 2nd one today - we had a bereavement earlier this afternoon.

Theres only one left so we are wondering if that one will be dead tomorrow as well

Well i want to go next September and Jan 2010.....then probably the same time after each year.

I think Kyra's dad needs to find abetter paid job so he can keep us in this Disney lifestyle

she got them last November for her birthday so they have lasted quite a while. One died just after we got back from DLP in Aug and now 2 today.

as long as you dont try and sneak in extra trips between January and September you'll have plenty of time to save but we know what you're like

DH does it and just changes a bit of the water. Nothing different to what we've been doing since we got them

Im just relieved they lasted this long to be honest. DS1 had 2 when he was about 5 and we went through about 8 in a week - replacing them without him knowing. In the end we gave up

Hmm - in that case, it's strange why you'd lose 2 in such a short space of time as you've just described everything correctly

So long as it is just a bit, the new water has the chlorine removed in some way (I tend to use a bottle of stuff for this), you don't clean it thoroughly (clean the entire filter in one go, plus all the gravel etc...) and you never use soap, then you're not doing anything obviously wrong.

If you've had them a while, then the bowl will have "cycled", so it's not likely to be that.

Yeh seems strange but nothing we can do about it now except wait and see if the other one dies as well - I might be coping with tears in the morning as well. All we need on a Monday am

Unless i smuggle myself in a lorry to France or someones car my trips are now limited to 2 a year lol.

I like the idea of a job getting sent to DLP - I think I'll go as a mystery shopper and get paid to stay there and enjoy myself
