just was a frustrating day where I got nothing done and spent all day doing it - had to get my job evaluation appeal in by end of today and it was :scared1: - computer kept going down, couldnt find paper to print on, had to drive to see some clients and got stuck in traffic, then computers werent working, then drive back to collect appeal fom Manager and got stuck in traffic again, then had to head out again to take to another Manager and got stuck in traffic again. Worked almost 13 hrs again. And to top it all we had run out of milk for a cup of tea :rotfl:

Are you sorry you asked :rotfl:

Sounds like you had a horrible day at work. 13 hours is far too long - I hope you get paid a fantastic salary for that many hours! I do a job share and just about keep my head above water. OFSTED for me tomorrow.

Sounds like a long day :)

I had a visit from the programme manager yesterday to tell me I had to give a demonstration in about 1 1/2's time.

Then, when the MD and the customer representative came up for the demo, the MD managed to invent yet more functionality for me to add. Of course it's all got to be finished by the time I leave at Monday lunchtime :headache:

I'm sure you'll be fine with the OFSTED inspection...:thumbsup2

Hi UKStitch, are you all ready for DL? You must be so thrilled to be going. I went in 1997 and loved it. It's probably changed beyond recognition now but the Indiana Jones ride was amazing. We went to Six Flags (Magic Mountain) and Universal Studios while we were in California. I would love to do it again one day.

Its only 1 day a week I do 13 hrs and its coz I do a 2nd job one evening a week.

Sure you'll be fine with OFSTED :goodvibes

Thank you both.:goodvibes I will be ok with OFSTED as I have a tendency to over-prepare everything in my life. lol. You don't have to know me for very long before that becomes painfully apparent.

Thats coz you told me yesterday morning that you were expecting a quiet day at work :goodvibes - your MD must have been lurking :rotfl:

At least Ive been able to talk Disney tonight at work. One of the other workers said she was thinking of going sometime (poss January) with her boyfriend instead of Christmas presents so Ive been advising her and offered myself as consultant - Im now pricing up for her and getting her info :yay:

I'm no where near ready yet...

As for being thrilled - I'm over the moon!

I really badly want to visit SFMM one day, but it's too far away from Disney to be practical in the short time there. I'm a huge rollercoaster fan and would love to do some of the US parks. I'm also a huge Disney fan, so the two addictions have to fight it out for my funds :rotfl: At the moment, Disney is winning, especially as I'm planning my Japan trip now :rotfl2:

Indeed. The demonstration was supposed to be today (or maybe tomorrow, I forget), but it got moved. It's just lucky I had my stuff in a position to demonstrate it. Sometimes, it's totally broken because I'm in the middle of changing something.

:woohoo: :yay: I used to work with someone who loved DLRP too but she has now left so I have no one to talk to about it:sad1:

I'm a huge rollercoater fan too - although I was too chicken to go on some of the big ones at SFMM. I prefer the oldstyle bone-shakers to the loop-the-loop variety. DL was the first park, wasn't it? Have you been to WDW? That's my aim one day. I would love to stay onsite there but I would wait until my children are teenagers so they can take full advantage of all the rides and attractions.

I loved Six Flags Magic Mountain! Especially x2 and Golliath!! Universal was fab too, I loved going on the desperate housewives set!!

DH and I are huge coaster fans too (we have AP's for Alton Towers!) We rode all the coasters at SFMM, X2 was the only coaster in a long, long time we felt the need to hold on to when we were on it!

Unfortunately I only work with this person occasionally on Tues evenings - not every week which means it will probably be a while before I can chat Disney again

My trip pre-dates Desperate Housewives...I'm showing my age. SFMM had a ride called The Viper -DH went on but I stayed on the ground. It was frightening just to look at. We met a couple there who were Disney fans, Val, Robin, and their son Christopher-Robin. I keep expecting to meet them on these boards. Universal had just opened the Jurassic Park ride - I still get thrills when I remember seeing the huge gate looming in the distance. Happy days.:goodvibes
