What do you teach Juliette? Im an ex secondary teacher

English. I'm always loathe to admit it because then everyone scutinises your emails for errors. lol. I thought you might have been a teacher - I can often tell when I meet someone - can you? It's a sort of sixth-sense, or perhaps we all look tired. What did you teach?

I'm not sure how i did either lol....

The only forum i ever visited was the depression forum and that really was the place to hang when you was depressed...reading about other being miserable :lmao:

LOL, :rotfl2: The only other forum i belonged to was the how one on coping with breakups, divorce etc. That was really depressing although you can't help but feel sorry for some people. It didn't really help me though hence the reason why i didn't stick around for too long.

Actually I don't think I introduced myself either! Good idea.
I'm Karen, married to Pete for 10 years (we met in our 1st week at uni when I was 18!!) We don't have kids but both love theme parks (we are rollercoaster nuts.) I love Disney and Pete puts up with my obsession as he likes our trips! I'm a Yorkshire girl origionally but now live in Northampton. My favourite rides are BTMRR (at DLRP), RnRC (at WDW) and California Screamin at Disneyland. My favourite characters are Tinkerbell, Tigger, Mickey and Minnie. Ooh and I love pin collecting too!!

This is an outlet for me as everyone else I know has started to glaze over and sigh when I mention DLRP. You lot are saving the sanity of my nearest and dearest. It's a public service really.;)

And we're happy to do it :goodvibes All we ask in return is that you help save the sanity of our nearest and dearest :rotfl:

Hi Marina :goodvibes

There's a thread specially for these if you feel like copying it over there to introduce yourself to the other members of the DLRP board who don't pop by this thread for whatever reason.

It's not a sticky though, so you might have to go back a few pages to find it.

I think theres a link to it on the When are you going sticky

I know what you mean, I teach literacy every day and fail to mention that to most people. Although one of my pet hates is text language, I even punctuate my texts properly!!

DH is a secondary teacher, he was the head of music for many years but recently switched subjects and is now deputy head of ICT.

Hi Karen, I did some of my teacher training at Roade School in Northampton. I too have been married for 10 years and met my husband when I was 18, although we've been together for 20 years. It's a small, small world.:)

I know what you mean about people rolling their eyes. My friends laughed when I told them I had become a shareholder. They thought it was most appropriate! My assistant is Mickey Mouse mad too which helps, although she has never been to a Disney park! We are planning a short break to DLRP though at the end of the year!

It's a small, small world.:)

Nooooo....

"It's a world of laughter, a world of tears,
It's a world of hope and a world of fears..."

Thanks  Now I've got that song stuck in my head again :rotfl:

Oh I kind of know that school, well I've heard of it! I teach in Corby. We have Northampton teaching student at our school.

I keep it very quiet. How many passports do you get asked to sign? I could start a business. My HoD writes texts like this: RU OK CU L8R. I can't stand it.

No no! I mean you write with authority and confidence...:goodvibes
