Anyone familiar with Siesta Key?

Palm Bay Club has some good reviews over in either the Sarasota or Siesta Key forums on tripadvisor. Both forms are *very* slow, so it shouldn't be hard to find the comments in a search. Sounds like a good price to me.

Hi,

Yes, it's a good price. I did read the advisor messages, but you know how that goes. Can you trust them, LOL?

Hello!

We have been to Siesta Key several times and love it! The powdery white sand beach and Gulf of Mexico sunsets are simply beautiful! The sand at Siesta Key is white quartz and does not feel hot, even on a warm day. Siesta Key is not a party place...mostly condos, families, children building sandcastles and people who simply enjoy relaxing, looking for shells and walking/running the beach. I can only say that once you visit Siesta Key, you will want to return. I know we did. My husband and I do not rent a car when we travel. We walk, and in this case, take the SCAT bus to PUBLIX. There's lots of shopping and major chain stores over the bridge and little shops in Siesta Village. In addition, we use the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) when we fly to Sarasota. It's a very nice small airport and only about 13-14 miles from Siesta Key. There are lovely places to stay at on both the Bayside and Gulfside of Midnight Pass Road on Siesta Key. If given the choice...we always stay on the Gulfside because we want to spend as much time as possible enjoying everything being Gulfside and close to the beach offers. I guess I can't say enough about Siesta Key... :thumbsup2

We drove by the resort you are talking about. We didn't go in but from the outside it looked very well maintained. Sorry I can't offer more.

We spent two weeks in Siesta Key in December and fell in love with the place. We are booked for another two weeks this December and can hardly wait. It is such an incredible place. The people are so friendly, the restaurants great, the beach, AMAZING!!! Siesta Key is very clean and feels very safe. I was often on my own out walking with the kids very early in the morning and absolutely no problems on the beach or on side streets. My husband on the other hand is a night hawk and often walked the beach/streets VERY late at night and everyone was great with him also.

I can't see someone going to Siesta Key and not having a wonderful time.

The price you have been quoted sounds very reasonable as well.

Thanks for the helpful info!

We usually go to the Panhandle area of Fl for beaches, but this time we will do a Orlando/SK trip. Last family vacaiton. Both my children are getting married next year, yikes.
