ot-pain in abdomen

dont know where else to post this so i hope its ok here..ive been having this sharp pain in right abdomen under my ribs..so bad i had to take percoset. i went to urologist and said no kidney or gallstones. did find a cyst on my liver but apparently its nothing to worry about?? went to my gyno and she says she doenst think its endometreosis..went to my general thinking its appendisitis but he says since i have no other symtoms, nausea, fever,lack of appettite etc.. he ruled it out. he thinks its gas?? the pain is not so severe now its more of like adull ache that comes and goes and i dont need meds for it. im able to eat, walk, etc..does anyone know if gas can cause this? im 37 female non smoker

Gallstones aren't the only potential problem with the billiary system. Request a HIDA scan with CCK injection so the doctor can see just how well your gallbladder is functioning. Make sure he looks for the presence of sludge as well.

If it tends to come in waves like attacks, ask your doctor for an order for liver enzymes. When you get an attack, go to the lab within 12 hours of the attack (sooner is much better). Liver enzymes go back to normal within 12 hours so if you are having some kind of pancreatic or liver issue then you need to have this tested very close to the attack.
