Sorry Nikki - I didn't mean to bring back nightmares

:rotfl:

That's only 186 words - my report is currently 16,598 words long and most of it is just as technical as that - if not more so.

It is for a masters degree though, so it generally has to be quite technical as it is supposed to be a "unique" piece of work.

Thats ok:thumbsup2, I think I have to do a dissertation again if I want to become a Paramedic as to do this I need to do the degree

ok - it's time to play a few games. First, it's time for a dance because I've finished my first draft...

Now that's done, it's time to play the "help UKStitch do as well as he possibly can" game. The aim of this game is to read my abstract and let me know if it's too long / short or whatever else you think about it.

For those who don't know, the aim of the abstract is to say what a project is about and what the results are in less than a page. Mine weighs in at about 2/3 of a page so seems ok in length but I'm worried it might not make sense :rotfl:

Feel free to ignore this but anything you do have to offer is much appreciated - this tiny section is the one I find the hardest to write as it needs to try to explain the project and make it sound interesting.

I'll apologise now though - my degree and project is computer based so very well may go over your heads but I'm going to post this anyway in case anybody wants to comment.

Thank you if you do make it to the end of this - you can have the gratification of knowing you've helped me with my MSc as a result :worship:

that seems very well written rob. its concise and to the point. its exactly what they asked for and its grammatically correct lol.

ukstitch - not sure what it is they may be offering my Dad. He's not completely lost his sight - like having a black dot in the middle apparently, so can still see round the edges if that makes sense. I did suggest he had a big lcd tv on the study wall and connected the pc to that:rotfl2:

Sorry if I jumped into the chat thread - I know most of you don't know me, but it was just so strange that after my conversation with Mum your post was the first thing I read!

I do lurk around the chat thread and read whats going on but don't often have chance/time to join in.

Feel free to join in as much as you like - the chat thread is sometimes the place to be (and sometimes the place to avoid) depending on how mad you feel. :rotfl:

No need to apologise - I come and go from this thread but anybody's welcome to post :goodvibes

Yes that makes sense about your dad's sight - I'd be interested in what he gets suggested as it's something I've been interested even when I did my BSc Applied Computer Science as I studied that kind of thing then as well (just not quite in the same detail as my MSc where I've specialised in it).

I'll let you know what, if anything, they offer him. If he was in the same part of the country as you I'd offer him for free as your test subject:lmao:

Unfortunately what i have isn't really suitable for that kind of thing - you have to take what I've made for my project and then write an actual program using it. Plus - I've not done a lot of the really clever stuff with it so it's still quite basic but I'm tempted to carry on with it after my degree as it's my own proposal.

hi ya guys!!!

Joshua got his Stitch Costume and he loves it.....a bit baggy but ok!!lol (he's 4 and the costume is 7!!lol)

omg they are sooooooo cute. its better the stitch one is a bit big. for the price of them they grow out of them too fast. i have never seen a bullseye one before i love it lol. they would need and extra suitcase for them though lol

Good Morning everyone

We are heading back down to Cambridge today to collect the rest of DSs things as he's leaving his house tomorrow.

Hes going to Guernsey for the rest of the month to his girlfriends parents house where he is going to try very hard not to ruin their house (hes decorating for them but never done it before), crash their car (they are giving him some driving lessons) or kill their cat (he is in charge of giving it insulin injections every day)

Have a safe journey Small World and wish your son all the best with his time in Guernsey!

Good morning everybody...

I managed to get about 3,500 words of proofreading done yesterday, so I'm aiming for a little more than that today (hopefully around 5,000).

What fun things is everybody else up to?
