HELP! My aunt is trying to hijack our holiday!! Went to her house today and she put me on the spot by asking if she could come the same time with her granddaughter!

Yes although I have to start my emergency driving course the day after I get back & its not going to run near where the new training school is which is near to where I live. It means another 3 weeks in a hotel again

No she's just not that type of person, she also likes to be in control ALL THE TIME! Also she has quite a lot of money and her granddaughter is the same age as my DD, I'm worried that she will be able to buy her granddaughter everything and my DD will have to watch. They also go all the time and this is my DD's 2nd visit and DS 1st visit so I want them to find things for themselves. I really feel in a predicament!

See if she brings it up again, if she doesn't it will make it easier for you. Also there may not be availability in the hotels

I would try avoiding the topic of conversation and if that doesn't work perhaps try telling her that time with your children as a familiy is precious and that you had planned for it to be a time to focus on your children

my aunt and her son has hijacked our disney trip too, but im delighted as her son is 17 and she has offered to take my girls while me and my cousin go on all the big rides

but seriously i feel for you as family time is precious esp as its ur ds first trip aswell, i took my two on their first disney trip by myself as wanted it to be all about them if family/friends had come too id hav been distracted by trying to make their trip fun too. as others hav said id try avoid the subject and if that fails blame ur dh

Yeah it is considering I'm a complete Noob when it comes to booking holidays and in regards to what is in and around Paris (tranport and airport wise) The most I've ever done is booked a train, some tickets and a hotel for an air show in the UK

Feeling bit sad this morning

Didn't get the dress off ebay

Cinderella went for £38.27
Sleeping Beauty went for £47.86

Add on the twenty pounds postage they wanted from america and they would have been very expensive second hand dresses.

Just as well bidding finished in the middle of the night or I could have got carried away. I had bid up to £30 for Cinderella and would have ended up keeping going.

Yeah, some things on ebay go for odd prices e.g. a camera I was looking to buy (and was bidding for) eventually went for £50+pp over the actual price in the shops :S. I'm currently keeping an eye out for DLP tickets over my proposed dates.
