Buttercup & Poppie - hope you both have fab trips - can't wait to hear about them both
Emma - that's not a bad price! I think the fitting is normally more than the carpet! Did your Mum arrive today to help with the decorating??
Dianne - really sorry to hear about your mouth - hope it feels better soon. I had root canal once - never again - it was awful and what made it worse was the amount of trips backwards and forwards, think it was about 4 trips in total and as it was 50 mins drive each way, not great!! I wish I'd just got the tooth out - like you it was a molar.
Well, spoke to DD1's paed dental cons today and they've pencilled her in for Tues 18th Aug to go under to have her front tooth removed

The thing is, I'm really upset about it and so worried but I realise there is now no choice and it's safer to have it out. It's just the thought of the hospital and the anaesthetic etc that scares me. On top of that, Mum has just rang and said she can't watch DD2 for us while we go

She has something major on at work that day and just can't get out if it - believe me my Mum would move heaven and earth for my and my kids so it really is grim for her that she can't do anything to help. So, options are one of us takes her (either DH or I) or I ask the MIL which I don't want to do - she works too so it would mean time off work but I just don't like asking her - the inlaws aren't v safety conscious when it comes to the girls and I've never actually left DD2 with her (she's 14 mths btw) yet as I feel she is too young. My Mum, no prob, but not the MIL. After all, this is the woman, who after my DD1 fell in their pond about 5 months ago, when I asked her if she would get it covered (just with net or something), she said "oh no, what about the fish"!!!! "She won't do it again" - well let's hope not eh! I always dread DD1 going to them and she's 4 yrs as invariably she comes back with some ailment or other

So, I'm feeling stressed now. Think I'm going to ring tomorrow and ask if they can bring the surgery forward - don't want to put it back as a) the abscess can be life threatening if left and b) we go to DLRP on 30th Aug, so the longer bet the surgery and the trip the better for recovery etc.
On top of that, found last night that my laptop (which some may recall was 'fixed' by a guy round the corner (pc shop)), has two thirds of my photos missing - I'm talking major things like DD1's 4th bday and DD2's first bday, DD1's first nativity play (she was Mary) etc etc - I feel so sick and upset. To make it worse, the guy is nowhere to be seen - shutter down on shop and not answering phone

Took it to PC World today in desperation and they said as the hard drive has been wiped that they can't guarantee what they can recover but can try for £100!!!
Sorry for the whinge - not having a good day
Well, DH wanting his laptop back in a mo so got to dash to read a few posts!!
