and even wets through the Goodnight at least once a week. Dr. says we can try an alarm or medicate, but unless he is upset about it he will outgrow it.
When he was about 4 we tried the "cold turkey" thing and did have some successful mornings. One morning when he was dry I got all excited and said something like, "That's so great that you stayed dry!" He turned and just glared at me. He said, "You know I can't help it, right?" After that I felt so awful, and when he was wet again he went back into Goodnights. He takes care of everything himself, so except for the expense, it really is a "non" issue here.
As for changing the sheets in the middle of the night.. we keep his sleeping bag handy. If he gets wet he just changes, pulls out the sleeping bag and sleeps on the floor. Poor guy...
Good luck. DD was day trained at 3 and night by 3.5 with maybe 2 accidents ever. They are just all different.
