ot: Niagara Great Wolf Lodge

My son would like to stay at Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls this summer. Does anyone have any tips to get a lower price?

Sign up for their email notifications by joining their ePack (the link to do so is right on their homepage: http://www.greatwolf.com/niagara/waterpark ). I get various offers emailed to me all the time, often before they are released to the general public. Be on the lookout for a 48-hour sale within the next one to two months that usually takes in many prime summer dates. They have had this sale the last couple of springs.

Also, if you have CAA, you can get a discount (10% I believe) by using the code "CAA". I usually find other codes that beat the CAA savings, though.

You can also get a corporate discount through many employers. For example, my husband works for a Magna company, and Magna offers a corporate discount to their employees (its better than the CAA discount, so I am going to say its maybe 15% off). If you or your spouse (if you have one) work for a larger company, ask your personnel department if they have a discount code for Great Wolf Lodge.

Just wanted to say thanks for the tip on the CAA discount. I'm about to make a reservation at Great Wolf Lodge and didn't know about the CAA discount. It wasn't listed anywhere on the reservation page, and when I typed it in, my cost dropped about $65.00. There is supper for my family of six (not at the lodge, but out at a restaurant somewhere in Niagara Falls.

That's why I love the DIS Boards!

Now, to find a discount at the Embassy Suites, and I'm all set!

If you are looking for some recommendations for good family dining in Niagara Falls, I will suggest either Mick & Angelos (on Lundy's Lane) or Zappi's (in the Falls tourist district). Awesome food at both locations.....not your typical chain restaurant dining. Mick & Angelos was our absolute fave, and Zappi's had the yummiest (and strangest) pizza burger.

If you can cross the border and are going during the summer season (after the May 24th long weekend), we also recommend The Silo in Lewiston. Great view of the Niagara River, a very unique building (the restaurant is built into a real silo), and a fabulous Haystack sandwich (both The Silo and Mick & Angelos have been featured by Adam Richman on Man v. Food). Then stop off at Twist of the Mist which is right by the entrance to the Rainbow Bridge on the American side of the Falls for some ice cream (they have a peanut butter sundae to die for ).

We picked up tickets last year for the Oh Canada Eh! show at a HUGE discount, and it was one of the highlights of our vacation!
